I know it's early for this talk, but who are the top teams in the NWC this upcoming season?
Any predictions?

Delphos Jefferson really put it together at the end of last year. I expect they will be the team to beat.

I know that they have a solid pitching rotation, as well as good defense, so DJ should be very good.

Bluffton should be all right this year they have some returning people including, Devon Kiser, Frank The Tank Long!, Evan Skilliter, Joel Groman, Matt Suderman, Clay Atkins, and Nathan Cheney.

Also a few new people: R.J. Stratton and Jeff Zeigler.

Bluffton should have a pretty good year as well...they return a lot of pitching, and if they can clean up their defense which has let them down in the past, they could be pretty good.

I wouldnt expect paulding to be any where near the top this year. They only return two starters, in sholl and stoller. They will have alot of young kids up playing that should be playing JV , but because of numbers have to play up. There offense wasnt very good this summer, and they are not deep pitching wise. Sholl, riley, and pease make a ok rotation but nothing dominant like last year. And if there defense is bad like it was this summer, they will have to score alot of runs, and i dont see that happening. Now if they can get a few kids to play that didnt last year , like arend and troyer, it would greatly help. Also add a hole new varsity coaching staff, with no head coaching experiance, they could be in for a long year. One thing to look forward to is they had a good freshman class last year, and alot of them may be playing varsity this year. So give that class a year or so and they could be right back on top. I hope they can prove me wrong, and wish them luck this year.

1) jefferson
2) Grove
3) LCC
4) crestview
5) bluffton
6) paulding
7) spencerville
8) allen east
9) ada
10) lincolnview

I think it will be a good battle between Jefferson and Crestview...Crestview was 11-0 in the summer acme season and have a lot of good athletes...Jefferson has good pitching but i think crestview will come out on top

are you kidding me??? without dysert and vermillion they're going to be terrible this year (they were terrible with them).....what grade was the kid in that set the state record for getting hit in a season....he did a great job of getting hit on strike three to lose against spencerville haha

You are right Dysert and Vermillion were key players... but lets not get to judgemental.. its a new season so do me a favor and forget about talkin about last. Anything can happen. They should have talented players, Simons, Mattson, Mills, a improved Flower who should help in pitching and maybe a few new Seniors who should help out in key roles on the field. And lets not forget Heath Jackson is back in ada, He may decide to come out and hes just a great athlete. thumbup1.gif .

11-0 in the regular season.. but how did they do in the tournament... Didn't they get beat by a Jefferson team that was missing a lot of their studs.. and didn't Jefferson's pitcher just mow right through the lineup, and that pitcher is going to be like their third or forth pitcher isn't he.

Spencerville sure could use Obringer behind the plate. Heck of a catcher, and any where else they plan to play him. Too bad he's gonna do track. He'll probably got to state for that just like he will for wrestling. Goodluck Bearcats!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bigguy.....it really wouldn't surprise me if you're Obringer because youre a big guy, you aren't gods gift to earth though, watch yourself in football you aren't that good, you stand straight up as soon as the ball is snapped, i'll give you wrestling, but baseball, no. vandemark and deitering will be behind the plate and be pretty strong too!....this is a good quote for Mr. Obringer.....when all is said and done, more is said than done

Sorry man I'm not Obringer. Just watched him play a few years back is all. Hope that spencerville's ball team can have a good season. Didn't mean to make it sound like the obringer was all that. Calm down dude.
