Riverdale didn't have their starting goalie. I know that Bluffton didn't have there's in but Riverdale couldn't challenge him much so Bluffton is a better attacking team. But as I said before, I'd like to see how the starting goalie would have handled the 4 goals.

Hopefully there's a rematch in tournaments.

The 4 goals that were scored that game would have been difficult for many goalies to save. While I was watching the game I can recall only one of the goals would have been saveable. And also Blufftons back-up goalie was one of the key players in the offensive attack.

One thing watched at the game was that when riverdales starting goalkeeper was taken out because of his injure riverdale went into a defensive mode. To protect their goalie that had never played in a varsity game. So riverdale could not put their best efforts forward offensive wise during the game. Don't get me wrong I'm not making excuses for riverdale they should be able to be comfortable with whoever is behind them in goal that was a fault on their part. It helps a team out a lot to have an experienced goalie behind them. Though the freshman goalie did good for his first time in I was impressed. My hat goes off to Gage Hankins for his preformance. Fouledout I think a rematch between riverdale and bluffton would be a better game with their goalkeeper back and it would probably have a different turnout.

My point was towards Riverdale people and only because I don't want us to be one of those "we lost but only because of..." or "we lost but we outplayed them for ..." Only one thing matters in any game, the winner at the end of the contest and we lost.

I teach social studies and am a proud defender of EVERYONE' s liberties and certainly am never in favor of censorship. So, I may have sounded a little dictatorial but I had my reasons. Good point DISSENT, as your name implies:)

Toffeeman I dont know you personally but your attitude and honest evaluation speaks very highly of you as a coach. Good luck with the rest of the season I am sure your team will continue to improve. I notice most teams get better after a loss rather than a win if it increases focus and determination.

The freshman was behind the wall on a free kick scored by bluffton. A starting keeper wouldn't have been behind the wall but positioned for the save. Thats only one example of how the starting keeper would have made a difference.

This could be a totally different game.. tourney times bring out the best in teams because its win or go home. If I remember correctly two years ago bluffton beat riverdale in season 3-1 and would look to walk through the tourney but riverdale came in and took them to 2 overtimes before bluffton finally put one in and as far as im concerned that was anyones game? shrug2.gif

You must be a forward, all forwards think every shot is unsavable. lol.

Thats because forwards rule!

... we all know that fullbacks win the game, not the sissy offensive guys. smile.gif (speaking as a former defender)
