Thanks for the observations. Hopefully we will see some warmer weather in the next few weeks to see how low the times can go. It looks like the NW Ohio D3 regional will be tough to get out of as usual.

No doubt that all the D-3 schools are happy that Archbold moved up to D-2.

In Reality, if Archbold were in D 111 it would have little effect upon the Region, it would affect the Ayersville district considerably however. Other that a couple of events they do not have top four efforts in the regional, anyway. No doubt they have a good 300 hurdler, a couple of really good relays but that is about it as far as top four marks in the regional are concerned. Their freshman sprinter is coming on and could possibly be close to a top four by seasons end but that is doubtful. No field event of theirs, other than a long, long shot in the pole vault, are even close to being a top four placer in D 111. Not really sure why everyone should be happy they are D 11 this year. It is much easier to be happy that the Wynford district is not coming to Tiffin this year.

Are you serious? Last year's D3 Regional meet was WON by Archbold. They scored a 4.5 point victory over Bluffton and 11 points over Col. Crawford. The winning point total was 72 points. At the Regional meet, it only takes "a couple of really good relays" and some other high point places like 300 hurdles to win the meet. To say that it would have little effect to take the winning team out of the Regional altogether is an ignorant statement on your part.

If Archbold were still in D3, they would be in the top 2 or 3 at the Regional again this year. They would win the 4x2 and the 4x4 with very little competition. They would get top 2 minimum in the 300 hurdles and the 4x1 team would probably place 2nd. Although with Tinora's top sprinter running lame, they could take first there too. So, at a minimum that would equal 36 points. The open 400 and the open 200 would get them another 12 - 16 points, the pole vault would likely get 14 or 16 points now that their top vaulter is healthy and their second vaulter has already cleared 13-6. That brings the total to around 66 points... once again competing for the Regional Championship.

Enjoy the meet (without Archbold) when, and if, you get there.

I dont know if Wayne Trace is at Tiffin this year or not, but Ryan Kortokrax has a 55'4" in shot put, And Brandon Dunderman from Antwerp has 50'5"
