Opinions? I think it is absurd. However, now they have opened the door - Cincinnati, Cleveland, Pittsburgh, Baltimore, New England, Buffalo, Tennessee, Denver, Kansas City, Philly, Washington, Green Bay, Chicago, Carolina, Seattle...all of you cities with open air stadiums that play in "not always great" weather, get on the horn and bring the Super Bowl to your city!!!
Do I want to watch a Super Bowl where they have to bring out machines to clear away snow to kick a FG in a blizzard just so one team can win 3-0 since the elements were so terrible? HELL NO!
Anyway, I'll stop there for now. Thoughts?

What's the big deal? It rained in Miami a few years back. Rain has just as much of an effect on the game as cold and snow. No one complained about that.
Football is MADE to be played in the elements. And these are professionals. The best players and teams can play and play well in anything. Bring it on! I want a Super Bowl in the middle of a blizzard in Buffalo.

its great in the way the game will be played hopefully in different locations, but im with DUH on this one, who wants to watch a 3-0 super bowl? Theres a chance it good be so cold, WR cant catch the ball, RBs cant hold one to the ball, it would just be a mess..

I think its a great idea.. I mean if you can play a conference championship game in New England, or New York or Philly, then why not a Super Bowl.... I keep thinking back to the Raiders vs. Patriots AFC championship when the whole field was covered.. It was awesome!

I really like this, before the Super Bowl era, all of the NFL's title games were held "in the elements" and I think that this is a great push to go back to the game's roots.

I love the idea. As mentioned above, it's done in the conference champ games, so why not the Super Bowl. Some of the most memorable games I've ever watched were in cold weather. It's football after all.
In my opinion, the game will get huge ratings if not bigger than usual. The only problem they will have is selling all the firms, & big companies on it who send clients etc.... to the game. Which, now that I think about it could make it an even better game to watch as there might actually be more fans there if the companies aren't taking up as many seats as usual.
However, don't be fooled in to thinking that Cleveland now has a chance at hosting a Super Bowl. Setting up a game to be played outdoors in NYC is one thing, Cleveland is totally different. You can get people to plan a vacation to NYC at any time of the year. Getting people to go to Cleveland however???? I don't see it.
