PSU, Wisky, and OSU are decent teams.....As a whole the Big Ten isn't that good this year.

Yes, thanks for correcting me on Penn St. They should be solid also. Wisky, OSU, and Penn St. Maybe we can see improvement from the LOLverines.

It's weak. Wisconsin barely got by UNLV. Ohio St can seem to hang onto the ball. Herbie may be right, OSU may win it. They'd be my pick at this point.

I still say Michigan will be fine. So long as they don't face anyone with a mobile QB who can throw again.

yeah my pick would be ohio state to win it at this point....they got a good D and once boekman gets settled in at qb they will be very tough......michigan should be fine, but they need to get it together quick

The Big Ten is not great, but solid once again i believe. Wisconsin will be fine for the rest of the season, Michigan - who knows with what the have recently done, Ohio State looks pretty good once again for losing all that they did... Purdue, Iowa, Penn St. and Mich. St. all have solid programs this year and could make a run for the title, or at least cause some problems for some other teams... GO BUCKS!!!

Big Ten won't be in hunt for a national championship this year. BCS should have let them have it last year.

I bet that you are, of course refering to the rematch that almost was... #1 OSU v. #2 U of M?
I don't get the BCS, some teams can play a whole bunch of Div 1-AA teams for their non conference and move up, a team like USC can get away with not playing for a week or two and they gain first place votes! Then you get a team like Rutgers who for nine weeks last year was undefeated and move down after a big conference win... to me the BCS is just down right stupid.

They were bad this year, but I see signs for the future. Mostly OSU and Michigan recruiting like the top programs they are. Hurts that Penn State, whether they want to admit or not, won't be much more than a 7-5 team during their probation, but they'll eventually bounce back.

The conference needs the middle tier to step up, plain and simple. OSU and Michigan will end up being fine with Meyer and Hoke, both just need a couple of years. Nebraska, Wisconsin, Michigan State, and Iowa HAVE to be better. Northwestern should be REALLY good next year, but that will just hurt the national opinion(when Northwestern is a top 3-4 team, the league can't be good, whatever).

The next round of expansion and what they do will be interesting. If they settle for Virginia and North Carolina, then they'll remain behind. If they go big and grab Florida State who obviously wants out of the ACC, then the league can get REALLY good again. I don't like the whole idea of superconferences myself, and the idea of Georgia Tech and/or Florida State in the Big Ten is laughable to me. But they're coming, and as one of the 2 big money leagues they may as well be proactive and grab the big dogs.
