typical pcl talk. fj and kalida are sooooo much better than then rest. God forbid mc or ottoville beat them.
kalida has not been the same for the lat three years or so

ummm,i think they have the reputation that they can say they are better than anyone else. Does MC or ottoville have a pcl title?have they ever made it to regionals or state???hell, have they ever made it to districts, lol. if these teams ever do that, then maybe they will get good praise and be thought of as a contender, but until then most people are not going to pick them to win anything.

that makes no sense. so youre going to base whos better THIS year by what they did 3 years ago? i dont think so. its like miller city girls basketball went to state 4 years ago. can i say they are going to be better and the team to beat because they were good then? heck no because they lost players and talent. same with soccer

no, i was just respnond to jack.and usually if they were good last year they have some good players returning. and one word:experience. you dont think the experience that FJ players have had the last few years in tourny hasnt helped them in the past or wont help them this year.

The reason Ft Jennings and Kalida are consistently picked as the favorites is because they both have above average programs. They have the best coaches in the league and are able to contend even when they don't have the most talent at times.

I personally think Miller City has one of the most talented teams in the leaugue, but they aren't used in a way to maximize their ablilities to the fullest. I look forward to seeing some of their games this year to see if they can contend with the other more experienced programs.

and you dont think miller city wont have experience this year? now im not saying theyre going to win the league and/or even beat kalida and jennings, im just saying anything can happen on any of those nights.

wow great quote.obvioiusly anything can happen on any night. who would of though a 2-0-3 record would of won pcl last year, but it did. but u usually go with the team that has the experience and talent to win.

Well if Miller City is going to contend we will find out over an 8 day period in mid september. If my schedules are correct they play home against Ottoville on Sept 7th, at Kalida on the 11th and at Fort Jennings on the 14th.

I plan on going to the Ottoville and Fort Jennings games. And I may be at the Kalida game, but I've been asked to go to the C-R at Fort Jennings game first so I will probable miss the start of the game.

Should be an exciting week of PCL soccer. thumbup1.gif

O get tired of the Fort hype machine. Like Cabrera had to do much to get that team to play wel. He walked into a cake job.

I don't think Miller City does 2 a days xfactor6, but it will definately be a tough week for them.

MC doesnt have two days???wow, cant hardly bealieve that. and Bauer,Caberara might have moved into a good situation, but that team had never won a tourny game beofre he got there and then they go to regionals??he has done a lot for that program to advance it to what it is today.

i didnt say he didnt, but he took the team to the next level.they had NEVER won a tournament game before he came, and they had some teams that should of atleast won one tournament game. and then tehy make regional finals and then state. hes a coach that knows his stuff and knows how to get players motivated.

Back to the topic here. What does Miller City's non league schedule look like? Does it compare to the Jennings and Kalidas of the leauge in terms of prperation for better competition?

Here is what I have for MC's schedule.

8-23 Bath 5pm
8-25 New Knoxville 10am
8-28 @ Pettisville 5pm
8-31 Continental 5pm
9-4 Bryan 5pm
9-7 Ottoville 5pm
9-11 @ Kalida 7pm
9-14 @ Fort Jennings 5pm
9-18 @ Wauseon 5pm
9-25 @ Van Buren 5pm
9-29 @ Cory Rawson 1pm
10-2 @ Riverdale 5pm
10-4 Pandora Gilboa 5pm
10-6 Ada 3pm
10-9 @ Lima Temple Christian 5pm
10-11 @ Convoy Crestview 5pm

The only decent teams they play outside of the PCL in my opinion are Riverdale, Ada and Cory Rawson

Well I'm pretty sure they weren't very good last year and I don't think they will be much better this year.

If I remember correctly O-G beat them 5-1. And I think Bluffton beat them 2-0.
