They will barely be good enough to stay out of last place in the division. On paper there is not a team in the central the is worse than the Reds.

To be a Reds fan anymore is to be eternally optimistic. It won't happen this year, but I think the new owners will get stuff in order for the future. Maybe they'll be in striking distance to the All-Star break again, but actually keep playing good...

Sorry...I'm trying to keep it positive here...bad Reds teams really depress me...

I am a bib Reds fan but I think they got at least 5 years of molding a team together to even be considered or talked about to win the division...

Actually for the last 5 years the reds have been going down hill...and I think it will take another 5 to rebuild them...Griffy- if he has a good season we could be a little better but again he may not have to many good season left....

I think they won't win the division.
One reason why they won't win is because that division is one of the toughest to win. (well the last few years)
Another reason is because they have alot of young players with little to no experience.
And then there is the best reason and that is because they never spend the money needed to get anyone who would honostly help the team like say a ligit #1 pitcher.

It would be nice for them to win but that is wishful thinking. It will take the new owners a few years to get the team back on track. I expect some changes occuring in the future- trades, better player development in minors, drafing better players, and most importantly a pitching staff. I don't think the reds have had a pitching staff since the nasty boys.
