Sheen,
A ranking of teams would be welcome......Flounder and I don’t have the time necessary to do these with the knowledge that is required any longer....we witness just a few games/year anymore as it’s very tough getting someone from the assisted living center to drive us....good luck

Go over to Yappi and start a ranking. Unfortunately this site is no longer.
Yappi is the only one worth while anymore.

best wishes.

My thoughts after 2 weekends.

Overall basketball is down again in the Northwest Corner of the state especially at the Div 3 and Div 4 level.

In Div. 4 Crestview will be good but besides them....no one else. There are some up and coming teams that may compete but they won't have near the firepower yet this year to make a serious run.

In Div. 3 if Ottawa Glandorf doesn't make it to State they will have to look at why that happened again.

I hope that Lima Senior does well. For me personally I like to see them do well every year and keep the kids interested in Bellefontain Avenue and not Cable road.

Crestview is good........but they lost tonight at Bluffton, 43-41. Maybe the 4-0 Pirates are a team to watch in D3.

Well there have been most posts on RC in 3 days since I posted my rankings teaser than there has been in the past month. Maybe I'll have to reconsider :) Anything to get some action on here I guess :pickles:

Unless Celina is really, really good :) As for Kenton, they may play the worst non-league schedule I've ever seen for a WBL team.....though they have become a soccer school so maybe they need to lighten up the basketball schedule a little bit :shrug2:

Crestview, no doubt, the D4 team in NW Ohio. Bluffton win was a fluke. Watch out for Hicksville up north. Also, Marion Local from the MAC will be a tough out and will get going once they get their basketball legs

I think you just picked how the order of the PCL will go this year. The only question is who's fighting for the basement.

Have you watched any girls games this season? I thought last year NW Ohio was at rock bottom but it's worse this year. Bobby was right, girls basketball is unwatchable. A successful Pirate season will be 2 wins for our boys and 2 wins for our girls.

The “wax on” was administered tonight according to WOSN website as OG wins 92-53 vs the Tbirds

Largest winning margin in the history of the OG - LCC rivalry. It's a good start to a season when you're 4 games in and have put a 47 point beatdown on Liberty Benton (who has dropped OG by the way) and 39 on LCC....even if both may be down a bit  JV was 86-26 OG so don't look for Frankie's boys to do have much more luck against the Titans in the coming years

I watched the first half on TV last night and I was impressed by that beat down. The OG players were flying to the hoop for numerous tip ins.

OG is as tall as I can remember....and the big guys can all run. Throw in guards getting rebounds and they are tough to keep up with. Having an athletic 6'4 guy at the top of the press isn't something teams are used to dealing with and it's giving teams all kinds of problems.

I’m pretty sure that OG plays Lima Sr later on in the season....it will be interesting to see how they do vs. Columbus/Lima/Dayton/Toledo’s best.....have the old Lima Mixers bloodlines still providing talent?

To this point the competition for OG has been mediocre at best, but the titans are doing what good teams do and have been laying some mighty beatings on each opponent so far. This week will show us a little more with 2 tough roadtrips, Tues. night at BG (4-1) and at Archbold (4-0) on Saturday.
