Are the Ottoville Big Green ready to pull away from the pack, or will Grove and Kalida make some noise and have something to say about it?

Spoken one,
On a different thread I had predicted the Big Green would get to the regionals....not sure if they’ll win the PCL, but come tournament time they’re my pick

They’re (Ottoville) playing some real good ball right now

Columbus Grove already has a win against Ottoville, so I look for the bulldogs to be in the driver's seat for at least a tie.......Kalida has been playing real good ball lately and still have Grove and Ottoville coming up. PG has one loss in the PCL to Kalida and could be a dark horse in the league and/ or play spoiler.

As far as tournament goes Grove has the best placement as they are in the weak Findlay district (Arcadia, Arlington, Columbus Grove, Cory-Rawson, Hardin-Northern, Leipsic, McComb, North Baltimore, Pandora-Gilboa, Patrick Henry, Riverdale, Vanlue) , whereas Ottoville and Kalida are in the tougher Elida district (Continental, Crestview(Convoy), Fort Jennings, Kalida, Lima Central Catholic, Lincolnview, Miller City, Ottoville, Parkway, St. John’s, Temple Christian, Wayne Trace).

Rocketman- That will be a tough road for the Big Green as they will have to get through Crestview (among others) to make it to regionals.

With their win over Ottoville already, I would think Grove will at least tie for the league. Grove also could be the PCL rep in regionals with the easy road they have. Ottoville is going to have to play some very good basketball —-as all of the teams in that Elida sectional/district will have to—-in order to get to regionals.

Because Ottoville lost to Grove already I'd say Grove is in the drivers seat. I could see Grove losing to Kalida and Kalida losing to Ottoville. PG I think will go 1-2 vs those teams. Grove was fortunate to get Ottoville early. Not sure how healthy they were at the time but would like to see them play today. Either way I think the PCL gonna be a tight race and could see a 3 way tie.

Well he didnt say it would be easy just made a prediction. Its gonna be tough indeed so as young as Ottoville is I thought next year would be the year they get there but this year could be a possibility too.

When Korto was still coaching it was a given that Kalida would go to the Findlay district hence a easy ride to regional.....not so much anymore!!!!

Yeah right Kalida has been bounced between Elida, Findlay, & Napoleon for the last three decades. But they're about the same distance to all three locations so its not surprising they get moved around. It would've been a better business decision to keep them at Findlay for the OHSAA. Man that district is horrible outside of Grove.

Grove vs Kalida this Saturday for sole possession of 1st place. Should be a good battle.

Wonder if there is any chance of that game moving to Friday night with the possible in coming weather on Saturday. Both teams do have Friday open.

JAB, who do you think they would find to officiate the game? I would imagine about 2 years ago all the experienced officials would have received a contract for this Friday night.

The main question is are they refs or are they warm bodies.

I heard they got them out of the Kalida Meadows rest home, so they should help Kalida. Maybe Derryberry and Trout are available.

Oh.. since you lost you have excuses like football season went late? Oh wait, that was Grove that played football for 2 weeks after Ottoville started practicing.
