Man, this forum is just going to be a long list of WBL contest topics...
I haven't added up the scores yet, even though there weren't many at all, free time just seems to get less and less...

(1-0) Elida at Bath (1-0)
(0-1) Kenton at Celina (0-1)
(0-1) St. Marys at O-G (0-1)
(1-0) Shawnee at Defiance (0-1)
(0-1) Wapak at Van Wert (1-0)

That was one weird week 1. Basically the best teams of the last few years lost and the worst teams won. 4-6 is not a good record, but it will be interesting to see if that was a result of some good opponents or if most of the teams are just not good.

Elida - must have played well against TC
Kenton - appears to be able to score
St. Marys - OG had to replace a lot from last year
Shawnee - This is a toss up.
Wapak - We will see if Wapak's loss is a trend, probably not

Week Two Picks

(1-0) Elida at Bath (1-0) Bulldogs look like a contender for the WBL title

(0-1) Kenton at Celina (0-1) Wildcats are an improved team. Too much for Celina

(0-1) St. Marys at O-G (0-1) Both teams played really quality opponents last week, but OG has no QB. Riders take this one.

(1-0) Shawnee at Defiance (0-1) Indians will be 2-0 for 1st time in a loooooong time.

(0-1) Wapak at Van Wert (1-0) Nice win by the Cougs last week, but I think Wapak comes loaded for bear.

Elida - nothing changed my mind on Elida being the most likely team to rise from last year's mid-pack.
Kenton - lost fairly close to Coldwater and Celina's score was dreadful last week.
SM - I know Eastwood is good but I didn't expect O-G to look that bad.
Shawnee - I don't know what to think of Shawnee's game last week but Defiance looks worse than last year.
Wapak - surprising loss last week, but I won't declare Wapak a non-favorite yet.

after week 2. wow, the wbl has been turned upside down and by the end of the year may be a jumbled mess. OG, Kenton and Wapak are 0-2, St. marys and Celina are 1-1 as is Bath. Van Wert and Shawnee are 2-0. Based on scores, Elida looks like the favorite and Defiance looks like the dregs.
