Here is my last take on why i do not like the idea Manziel. NOthing against what he does, but what he does is who he is. IF you take that away, then he is not Johnny football, and not in his comfort zone. Unfortuantely what he does could get him injured quicker than the say Payton Manning, Andrew Luck, Tom Brady. College teams have the luxioury that pro teams don't, they don't have salary caps. They can carry 4 QB's that are athletic on the team, and not worry about money. They also only have the QB for 2 -3 years, and he is gone. So they can use him up. QB's are so hard to come by. 20 QB's since coming back the Browns have went thru. Still trying to find that guy. Andrew Luck is that guy, big strong, smart, and can run if need be. Not run because we can. CAM Newton is 240! that is huge difference in taking hits. BRains are the most important aspect for a QB once you hit that level of play, and getting a college player who has played in pro system, would be better than playing in a system designed just for him. NFL offensive coordinators, won't design their entire offense around what one guy can do, they will want him to change.
RGIII ex. took away his legs, and ask him to throw more, and now defenses, are teeing off on him, not honoring him running. Why because he got hurt so now they are trying to protect their investment. Which makes sense, but it takes away one of his most important talents. Pocket presence was never his strong suit, it was okay, but because he could run, they gave him the pocket to keep him from running, now he isn't running they are charging down field at him. Just my two cents.
Running QB's is exciting for the fans, but it is a long term nightmare for GM and Coaches sense a QB can make or break a team, it also make or breaks their jobs. And their is a difference in a QB that is mobile, than one who is an athlete.

RG3 was 29/37 with a 97 passer rating. That's not exactly getting "teed off on".

You prove me right again.
I agree with you he doesn't run like he did in '12. That's the point. He's throwing more.
You can't say RG3 is a bad pocket qb one minute, then when faced with the facts that he's clearly capable throwing the ball change directions and say " Well your forgot he ran the ball 3 times and got sacked 3 times"
What does that prove?

The Gamekeepers and Merril Hoge's of the world are just giddy right now, I know. How can you write him off already? Elway threw 4 pics in his first start. Didn't find the endzone till his 4th. Bernie fumbled his first snap as a Brown. Those guys turned out alright didn't they?
Browns fans are so tired of this dog and pony show they'll do anything for winner. You have to see the forest through the trees. Like him or not he's the quarterback of our team, giving up after one start is foolish.

By your judgment all to short to play right? Good quarterbacks only come in one size, 6'5" 250 right? calling someone too short to play is a lazy mans way of saying I have nothing else to bitch about.
Brian Hoyer was a damn cry baby, every time it hit the fan he never took the blame which was clearly his. I thought he was going to start crying during the Buffalo game. Pouting and blaming your teammates is pretty ridiculous for an NFL QB.
You're over reacting, I get it. You hate Manziel, I get it. But don't starting spouting off because of your bias and have no idea what your talking about. I'm sure watching that game sunday was one of the proudest moments of your life. Pathetic since you consider yourself a Browns fan.
No I didn't look it up. I remember it. John Elway was Johnny Manziel before social media. That stunt he pulled on Baltimore, then the hold out with the yankees, he was a spoiled rich kid. He went like 9 for 30 something and 3 picks his first start. If you were denvers GM back then, he'd been sweeping floors at Costco after one game right? You've seen all you'll ever need after 60 min,
Oh, Russell Wilson, forgot about him. Can't win superbowls under 6'5"?

Now that being said if they would have taken him with their first pick I would not have liked it. Had Johnny not been there at 22 they were going to take Bitonio, who was their first choice at that spot anyway. As luck would have it they still got their man.

That line couldn't block a doorway on Sunday. They started drives inside the 15 multiple times! False starts and holding calls put them in 2 and long constantly! The running game was non existent. Than ran something like 35 offensive plays! How many passes did he throw? 15 or 16? They had 3 drops in less than 20 attempts! Come on guy, who's going to succeed in that situation? Hell yeah he made some horrible throws. No denying that.
You can't bail on him yet. Good quarterbacks, with the exception of Andrew Luck, are developed. It doesn't happen overnight. You have to accept the up's and downs that come with it. Browns fans as a whole are so impatient. My buddy called me today to tell me we gotta go after Hackenberg in 2016. Seriously? That's a typical browns fan mentality.
Not making an excuse, just the facts.
