Last year, the boys top 3 were Bluffton, Grove, and Spencerville. The girls were Spencerville, Bluffton, and Grove. See a pattern?
For 2012:
Boys: Grove is looking very strong this year, especially with their state qualifying XC team. Bluffton lost quite a few talented runners last year, including possibly their entire 4x8, as well as their 2 great hurdlers. They still have a fairly strong group of sprinters as well as some younger distance runners. Spencerville isn't exceptionally strong this year either. Crestview will be up there as well with their solid distance team.
Girls: Spencerville is still fairly deep and young, with no standouts besides, of course, state runner-up (400m) Kelli Ley (who did not run cross this year, hopefully she'll still run track). Bluffton graduated very few, if any, seniors. Though Crestview placed third at state in the 4x4, they have lost one senior, whereas Bluffton's relay (5th at state) remains intact. Crestvew and Bluffton should put up a fight for the title, as well as state meet bids! DJ graduated Bridget Culp. Crestview's Erika Frey and Bluffton's Lydia Guagenti and Hannah Chapell-Dick return.

little early for this topic but nonetheless. Boys- CG, Girls-Sp. based upon who can come back. You figure most of the big point scorers will come back but the ones you worry about is those seniors that are good but not great. They have a tendency to say enough with HS sports and work at getting a job or preparing for college. This can strip away a teams event depth or relays especially in a conference as small as the NWC.
