Very true Spears, but Kalida really has their work cut out for them for the rest of the season. Today they play @ Elida , then @ defiance on sat. Then they finish out the season playing ottoville, bluffton and then OG. So if you ask me, that truly is a tough schedule. and your right though, when it comes game time, PCL teams come to play hard.

Actually that schedule should help Kalida going into tourney. Because the WBL is a tough league and those should be close games. And expirence in close games will always help you come tourney time.

yes and no. The experience of playing good teams is always a plus but if you hit a bad streak of games then morale on the team can drop dramtically
and that can be disasterous for a team before tourney time.

very good point. but i think they could win a few of those games. They should win vs. ottoville, bluffton, and 1 of those WBL games. But those games will be EXTREMELY tough.

6-footer, yes it can be bad if they get on a bad streak but that is when the senior leadership would need to show through and keep the team positive. perfect example was the kalida team in 2003. dropped 5 of their last 8 games and still made it to state.

But to give an update Kalida tied Elida tonight 0-0. First half Kalida dominated the flow of the game, but in the second half it was a little more balanced. Next up is Defiance on Saturday.

i agree with both of you. And i think that kalida will become a very tough team to beat these last 4-5 games. They definately pulled it together against Elida. And there are still many good games to go in the season.

Big match up this friday between PCL rivals Ottoville and Kalida. Expect a great game from both teams. Look for Miller to be a handful for the widcats defense. And hopefully Kalidas forwards to bust out with a couple goals to top the Big Green.

I have no predictions on the game scorewise but i expect kalida to come out on top.

FJ has a huge blow to there team tonite as AJ Korte went down with a leg injury. It is possibly a broken bone in his shin. This could really hurt them as they lose his quickness on the outside.
