Marion Local rolls into the regional after upending a tremendous Wayne Trace squad on a late three-pointer. That Linder kid was as good a talent as I've seen in a long time!

The Flyers (17-8) now take on Milan Edison (16-9), while Cardinal Stritch (21-4) plays Archbold (20-4).

Archbold seems to have the best basketball pedigree, but not sure that means much. Who comes out of this regional?

Marion Local will kill Edison
Archbold will kill Stritch

Good final. Archbold much better basketball players but Marion's strength will give them trouble. No way Marion shoots out of their asses again like they did against Wayne Trace

Best team doesn't always win. Next year is Archbold's year but I think they're gonna win this Regional this year

I like Marion Local by 12. There are not a lot of any comparable games, but I am judging off of history. The shot and play the kid hit against Wayne Trace will go down in program history as one of the best. I was hoping Wayne Trace would make it through because I enjoyed watching the Linder kid play. I still find 2000 points hard to believe.

I have Archbold in a close one. Cardinal Stritch and Archbold have played several teams in common. Both handled Swanton and had similar results against Eastwood. They both beat Ottawa Hills by around the same amount, but Stritch lost a close one to them as well. Overall Archbold has a little better results against similar teams and more tradition. This isn't Archbold's best team, but it is crazy they have another legitimate chance to make it to Columbus.

Saturday will be a very good game. Marion Local is good, but they didn't look great. I thought Edison would get rolled, but it was a better game than I expected.

I like Archbold in this one Saturday. They are sound and shoot their free throws well. It seems like they were 75 or 80 percent and the guy behind me had Stritch at 10-23. I would guess Archbold went 18-23, but don't really know.

On a side note, Cardinal Stritch didn't start a senior and I think Archbold only started one. Both teams will be really good next year. It looked to me like Cardinal Stritch had a lot of ability, but they were a little overwhelmed by the arena and game. They looked nervous and Archbold looked confident. It will be interesting to see how they both look next season.

Marion Local too physical for the Streaks I think, but I'd love to see Coach Krauss get back there. I think next year is their year. Great coaching staff at Archbold!! They do things the right way

If I have learned one thing, never bet against Doug and Archbold. They may not win, but they really do a great, great job. I miss the days of his brother at PH and those games really were something.

The Williams kid (I am pretty sure that is his name (#2)) was really good last night. I believe he finished somewhere around 22 points. Their point guard was really solid and ran the team well. They defend well, but did struggle to keep a few of the Cardinal Stritch players from penetrating. One Cardinal Stritch player may have shot 14 or 15 free throws. If they made them, it could have been close. Archbold didn't have much of a post game and they move the ball really well. They have a tall (6'5 maybe) kid who stepped out and shot it well. They are just a really nice squad, but not one you would pick out to go to state. I felt the same way about Marion Local.

They mixed up man to man and zone and they seemed to play both pretty well. They didn't particularly handle the pressure well. They had quite a few turnovers in the 4th from being passive. They then tried to attack and didn't score a few times.
