there is a possibility he has peaked and will only throw the same distances this year..if you look on that list, every one except roop is coming back..and i highly doubt that they have taken a turn for the worst...
any one of those kids in the top 4 could take the title...its just a matter of who has worked for it and who wants it

also st. mary's should never be allowed to hold a meet until they renovate the whole track facility, it is hands down the worst in the WBL

TMAN I think the dangeous throwers are the ones who do it for fun and are happy if they win or place 5th.

i know what you mean by that...thats the kind of thrower i was...but i remember times where i got so mad when some was throwing bad but pulled one out to knock me down a spot or out
not everyone had six though..only the top 7 after the first 3 did, thatcher from van wert can throw close to 50 but things weren't going the way he wanted so he took a risk and did a more controlled throw after fouling his first 2 and hopeed to make it into finals.
but what has happened has happened...congrats to all those who placed and represented thier schools well

As far as St Mary's hosting the WBL I was very disappointed... They only called the first field events not the second round... Made a public announcement to athletes they would not call finals and to follow the program... I didn't see any athletes walking around with programs... They had a cordless mic what would have been the trouble... Awards, they didn't give any notice to who they called they just read them off, half the kids didn't make it to the podium... The shot and disc are side by side... One judge is yelling "mark" or "foul" when the athlete competeing in the other event is trying to concentrate on his/her throw... And what is the deal with the discus ring? Posed no problem to Thatcher and Snyder even though Thatcher did complain in the VW paper, but apparently it was a problem for Maag and Greene...
