it's a 1/4 k in white gold.....not near as ornate as her mother's, but this is only the 1st part of her full set, so i'm not sure what the rest looks like...and, her future hubby does live on his own (with help from parents) and is a full-time 3rd yr student at U of C.....so not too bad, imo. she it & that's all that matters....she will love it even more when it gets back from the jeweler for sizing.... she didn't even have it a day before she took it in & hasn't seen it since! lol

Congrats to all! A very fun time. Had my first get married two years ago and now she has told us we are going to be grandparents. Like you slice, didn't think I was old enough for that!

Congrats Slice on your daughter engagement and upcoming wedding. As a father who gave away both of our daughters 45 weeks apart, it is an emotional time for all those involved, along with hectic, frantic, and any other adjectives that describe trying to create a perfect day for a wedding for someone you love. I and Mrs. Green got through it with a few coins left over so I know what that part is like also. Again congrats to you and your daughter and family. Enjoy the time leading up to that special day.

SBB - Just a little wedding planning hint from your old friend........Always schedule the wedding for early in the morning. That way, if things don't work out, it doesn't waste the whole day!!!!
