Lima Legion Post 96 beat Marysville today 14-4. Lima and Sandusky are the only teams left in the winners bracket, as they play tomorrow at 7:30p,

Sandusky is a very winnable game. their #1 pitcher is a stud, but they started him on monday AND wednesday, so I would hope that he would not pitch tonight. Their #2 and #3 pitchers both are unavailable with arm problems from their district tournament. The #2 guy threw 155 pitches on a monday and then came back and started two days later. I hope the same does not happen to their #1. He is going to Kent St. in the fall. I don't think the Kent coach is too happy how often that kid has thrown either. It is really sad to see what some coaches will do to win a legion game.

Lima got a great draw with a first-round bye and they have taken advantage of it. They should only have to play 4 games to win the tournament, and the other teams will have to play as many as 7 in five days to come out of the loser's bracket. If they win tonight, Kottenbrock would probably be pitching on Friday against the #6 or #7 pitcher for the winner of the loser's bracket. I like Lima's chances for a run-rule in that one.

Barring something off the wall, Lima should cruise into the regional tournament next week. Good luck!

Ouch......Lima loses 11-2......now must play at 9:30am against Mt. Carmel and win for a rematch against Sandusky in the championship at 2:00pm........and beat them twice.....

It's an uphill battle for Lima here on out
