LCC vs Ada~week 10

If i am correct, the T~Birds will be visting Ada's War Memorial Stadium next Friday.
This week seems fairly uneventful for these 2 NWC powerhouses' match-ups with Allen East (1-7; 1-6) at LCC (8-0; 6-0), and Delphos Jefferson (6-2; 4-2) at Ada (8-0; 6-0), with the latter having the greatest possibility of being even remotely 'interesting' compared to AE/LCC, with both LCC & Ada being the probable victors in each.....
So, what's everyone's thoughts & predictions in this one for next week, 'cause who can ever get enough 'Bird & Dawgs talk?!?!

Ada has the best QB in the NWC
Ada has the best WRs in the NWC
Ada has the Best Coach in the NWC
It all adds up to...I'll pick later in the week.

RB- I will take LCCs Washington over Decker. Edge: LCC
QB- I may give the edge to Ada's QB, although Stolly has done a pretty impressive job at the position this year for LCC. Better than expected. Edge: tie
WR: there is absolutely no chance on earth I would say one of Ada's WR are as good as Darius West from LCC. How many D-I offers do Ada's receivers have amongst all of them combined? Also, along those same lines, I'm pretty sure Sam Huffman and Mykale Rogers is better than any WR Ada has. So that's 3 on LCCs roster that are better than Ada. Edge: LCC
Coach: I think they are both really good football coaches. Edge: tie

QB - Not as good as what they have had the last 6 years. But still the best QB in the league. - Ada
WR - Best collection Lima has to offer. Lima Senior Catholic
Coach - I will go with the best coach Columbus Grove has ever had. - Ada

Why is that? I am not saying you're wrong, in fact, I said it was a tie at coaching. But since you brought it up, WHY is Mike Fell so much better than Jerry Cooper? All I know is Cooper has a bad reputation to a lot of people in the area for various reasons. He has a state championship, Fell doesnt. I don't know what leads people to automatically jump to Fell being SUCH a better coach.
And no I am not an LCC player, unless I have been posting in the Rocketcorner since I was in about the 3rd grade. Anyone who has been on this site in the last 6 years knows that. And great assumption, I'm an LCC fan? My picture on here is an LCC football helmet. I make no apologies for that and I expect no one to apologize for following which ever school they choose.
The only other thing I would say is how are Ada's WR better than LCCs? I will give you running back because I don't feel like debating it and Washington has fumble issues. But Ada has better WRs? There is no way Ada has two kids that are fast enough they can say they run low 4.4 40s. They also don't have two kids who were invited to Urban Meyers Friday Night Lights combine this past summer. And I haven't even brought Sam Huffman into this post yet and he may be the best open field runner with the ball in his hands in the entire league.

Division VI in a pass happy offense that is producing a lot of yards and touchdowns for them. Of course the statewide coaches are going to vote for a kid with 60+ receptions 700+ yards and 12+ TDs over someone who has 25 receptions 400 yards and 6 TD. You have to realize those who vote on the players often times have never seen them play and all they have to go on is program tradition, overall record, and statistics.

Here's to hoping it doesn't rain so that when LCC wins the weather cannot be an excuse.

I don't even think West is one of the top 3 most valuable players on LCC's team, but you do realize that Urban Meyer and every other big time D1 coach would disagree with you?
He's the best cornerback, by far, in the league and at the very least a top 5 receiver. Sounds pretty "all around" to me. West will probably be matched up against Ansley next week, so I guess we'll see.

I'm not leaning one way or the other, but this pretty much sums up why having the best "prospects" doesn't always mean you have the best players for a particular team. Cleveland Glenville is an excellent example of this and their inability to win state even with their combined ability of bringing Cleveland athletes together. The point is, Sam Huffman, while not the best "prospect" for LCC, is probably the MVP of the team for LCC. Likewise, the same can be said for Ada. They don't have a lot of "prospects", but a lot of quality players as a whole on the team that work well in that system. Some players just "get the job done".
