Looking for Defiance, Celina and O-G to be the big players on the girls side. Distance will be as strong as usual for Defiance. Look for Defiance to have a presence in the hurdle events again as their best girl was injured last year as a junior. She's back full strength this year. Field events will be a bit weaker, but possible WBL Champion in the Pole Vault for Defiance.

Probably Defiance and Celina on the boys side. Bulldogs should just reload the State Champion 4 x 800 relay team and make it back to Columbus again this year. Break this team down and you've got 1600, 800 and 3200 covered nicely for the Bulldogs. Sprints will be relatively weak for the Bulldogs, as usual. #5 rated 800m runner last year (1:58 as Frosh) will not be running for Defiance this year. He would have also been a presence in the long jump.
You get to the NEXT level only by being successful at the CURRENT one. Play today's game first, enjoy the victory, then and only then, look ahead!

Just came back from a Jr. High track meet at Elida against Celina and St. Mary's. Watched a girl from Celina clear 5'2" in the high jump, not sure what her name is but I went over and shook her hand told her to keep it up. She will be someone to look at in the future.

Elida has first meet at Ottawa tomorrow --Good luck Bulldogs!
