Up 4-0, lose 7-4. 4 errors, 3 batters hit by pitch, 6 walks. Just give the damn game away, seriously! Only two of the runs were earned. The Reds light up a pitcher who has been a nemesis his entire career, and then blow it. Just absolutely embarassing loss. This series is over on Sunday. The Reds do NOT recover from this. I mean, sure, Roy Halladay pitches the no-hitter, but he was "on" Wednesday night. Noboday was going to do much against him. Tonight, the Reds grasped defeat from the jaws of victory.

think i saw where the reds only got 11 hits, all time low since they started keeping stats. worst part is they were in 2 of the 3 games. errors killed us and we got 2 great pitching performances from arroyo and cueto only to be wasted. now it will be interesting to see if they use some of their excess starting pitching to get either a stud LF or an ace on this young staff. glad we made it back to the playoffs but definitely disappointed in the performance. wonder if this hurts votto's chances at mvp since he didn't do much in the series??

Post season has no bearing on who wins the MVP or any other award for that matter.

It was a great season for the Reds. It is unfortunate that it had to end when and how it did. But they look to be strong contenders for getting back to the playoffs again soon. I thought there was a good chance they'd get swept out of the playoffs and they did. It wasn't pretty to watch, but I am glad that I got a chance to watch the Reds in the playoffs for the first time in a long time.

Let's just hope I can do it again a year from now, just with results more favorable to the Reds.

they can say that all they want but if you have 2 guys battling for cy young/mvp and one dominates while the other struggles i am telling you votes shift that way. luckily for votto pujols and gonzalez both did not make the post season.

Seeing you say this and thinking back about the Ryne Sandbergs, Sammy Sosas, and other Cub greats, I am sure you are well aware of the rule that the playoffs don't matter. Lol

I'm not doggin' on you Cubbies. I am a Browns fan, so I feel where you are coming from

That's cool. Andre Dawson won the MVP when the Cubs finished dead last one year. I believe the votes are in before the playoffs start anyway.

I kinda think this year is the year for the Reds. They won the NL Central last year and can do it again!

Dusty had his one good year and the Reds young pitching will be ruined. Cueto left early again today. 2nd straight start.

The division is wide open this year.
