(3-2) Wapak at Bath (1-4)
(3-2) Shawnee at O-G (1-4)
(4-1) Elida at St. Marys (4-1)
(1-4) Defiance at Celina (3-2)
(1-4) Kenton at Van Wert (3-2)

Last week was kind of varied. One person got only 1 game right and 4 people got only two right. There were 3 with three games right, just 2 had two right, and 2 people were perfect. St. Marys was the only unanimous pick (win), while all the others were very close or somewhat close: Elida 8-4 over Wapak (loss), Celina 8-4 over O-G (win), Shawnee 7-5 over Van Wert (win), and Defiance and Bath tied at 6, so the consensus went 3-1-1. Big change at the top as we pass the halfway part of the season. baseballer4life and waterloowonder moved into a tie for 1st based on their perfect records this past week, while Stafford dropped 2 games back after leading since week 1, with only 2 games right last week.

1. Wapak (This will be a 40 point blowout. Redskins are clicking at a perfect time)
2. Shawnee (The Indians have a quick offense that will prove to be too much in this matchup)
3. St. Mary's (Wapak ran all over Elida's defense, and i'm sure St. Mary's will see that and do the same thing. I've got Riders by a touchdown)
4. Celina (The green Bulldogs will run away with this game by halftime)
5. Van Wert (This game will be close and high scoring. I have the Cougars by a field goal in this one)

(3-2) Wapak at Bath (1-4) - Wapak finally clicking on all cylinders
(3-2) Shawnee at O-G (1-4) - I feel really bad for OG because they are traditionally a bunch of great kids who are well coached, they are just missing the leagues best player
(4-1) Elida at St. Marys (4-1) - SM looks to be the league favorite right now
(1-4) Defiance at Celina (3-2) - Defiance actually (gulp) impressed me last week, they just don't have enough to beat Celina. They might be able to beat OG in a few weeks.
(1-4) Kenton at Van Wert (3-2) - Van Wert is a good story, Kenton just can't recruit like they used to anymore

I think we finally have some separation into tiers for the season...
Wapak should have no trouble with Bath.
I kept giving O-G the benefit of the doubt after years of consistency, but that finally ends now with Shawnee up next.
In the game of the week, I have St. Marys pulling away from a slightly fading Elida.
Celina should have no trouble with Defiance.
I'll give Van Wert a late score to beat Kenton.

1)Wapak Rumors persist about coach retiring at end-of-year though. (Remember he was lured out of coaching retirement once already )
2)O.G. I think our running game frustrates the Shawnee offense by keeping them off the field, BUT we can't afford turnovers
3)St Marys Ditto what all have been saying about small Elida D vs SM offense. Orange Dogs will need turnovers & special-teams to shine
4) Celina Blue Dogs will have tough time on D
5) Kenton Mini-upset special of the week

Wapak - Clearly the better team
Shawnee - Shows you why a couple of good players makes a big difference
St. Marys - Ball control will be the difference
Celina - The better team
Van Wert - The toughest call of the week.
