If memory servers me right it was the 2006 D3 finals with North College Hill (OJ Mayo Circus) vs Cleveland VASJ (David Lighty)

You are right, John McClane, Steve Trout T'd up a VASJ player twice in a short period of time early in the game, maybe T'd the VASJ coach, too.

The game I was referencing was an absolute debacle and remember the officials being roundly booed off the floor at halftime of the Upper Sandusky- Dunbar game.

Looking at that Upper-Dunbar box score, the attendance was 18,288. Has it been anywhere near that since then?

Hagen,
I'm not sure that both semi final games together will equal the attendance. I think the average the last 6-7 years is right around 11,000. And that would be the announced attendance which includes all tickets sold. They don't even need to open the upper deck at the schott any longer

Good article on officiating and it covers why a lot of people officiate. Both are very capable officials, however one has zero integrity and has caused more harm in the officiating community than he will ever know.

Horrible attendance yesterday. Has to be killing the scalpers which is kinda funny really. You can walk up to the ticket window now and get a good ticket. And, oh by the way, Steve Fish, has another State game today. Talk about politics. I'll bet he has to enter the arena through the truck entrances in order to get his head through the door!!

Another "know it all" when it comes to the mechanics of tickets and brokering.

Yep, killed the scalpers. I laughed all the way to the bank, just like every other year. :)

A little rough in your assessment of the talent (in your Almighty opinion :bow2: ) of high school athletes.

Yeah Knite Flyer, I'll bet you're just rolling in the dough these days. I saw you the other day at the soup kitchen with your Pittsburgh Pirates jacket on

Spent $10 or less to see Jimmy Jack, LBJ and OJ & Bill .....
Yea, I got high standards and expect quality on my investment.
This $20-$40 a ticket bs is ridiculous. Oh well .... buy a nosebleed and sit in 200's. No one is there anyway.
Course you prolly wouldn't know that since you don't bother to go in and watch all the "talent"

Well, that is true. It was cold in the kitchen that day, so I wore my fabled jacket.

I was doing some charitable work.....2 things foreign to a blowhard such as yourself.....those being charitable GIVING and WORK. You see, I have both the MEANS and TIME to do so. I've never had the urge to "roll in it" however. Isn't that what your dog does after he takes an "Outspoken?"

Folks like you that live off the guber-mint's teet (and my tax dollars) really pizz off those of us who pay your freight.

By the way, HOW WAS YOUR SOUP?!?!?

Congrats to you on your "accomplishment(s)" of spending $10 or less to see all the "stars." Again, a little rough and very poor form on your part to both belittle the talent level of high school athletes, and to equate/attach a dollar amount to said talents. Just to be clear.....high school basketball games aren't "entertainment" (they aren't there to entertain you or anyone else) or an "investment" (unless you're brokering the tickets). Your assessments of such are rather self-righteous, quite frankly.

You know, your "story" may be true, but 6,234 people say the same damn thing each and every year. Somebody is LYING. IF everyone got in for the prices that they claim that they did, there would be NO brokers within 100 miles of the Schott. And still we see the same old(er) faces each and every year, beating feet around the building. Hmmmmmmm........

If it's b.s. to you, continue to be a wise shopper and buy those $10 tix. No skin off my snout. Just as it shouldn't be an issue to you if I were to skip a game or 2. I'm well aware of the emptiness of the 200 level, and the 300 level, and the endzones behind the baskets......after all, it's part of my job to know these things. ;)
