Im hearing that the Explosion is not very happy with Jamar right now and they are looking for possible "loopholes" in his contract so they can possibly release him.

He's playing lazy. That's one of the reasons. Just sitting at the 3 point line.

What did you expect? A guy who had aspirations of playing in the NBA is now playing in a lower-tier league in his hometown......how excited do you expect him to be??? The Explosion is winning and people are coming to their games. Take Jamar off of that team and I'm not sure you get either of those results.

Yeah no kidding!.. If you were planning on being in the NBA, I'm sure it'd be the same for you -- not giving your full force because you know your full force was given with OSU TRYING to get into the NBA..

Yet another unfounded RUMOR. Jamar has been one of the top players on this team and near the lead in scoring every game, but guys like James Hicks, Kyle Meyer, Bryant Austin, D'Angelo Jordan have all been playing exceptionally well as well.

I would like to know who you "heard" this from clutch to be honest. I trust my source as it's the person making the decisions.

I will not disclose my source but this is no rumor.

Tig.......Any truth to the rumor that the season may be in jeopardy due to a shortage of cash? Starting to hear some rumblings that attendance hasn't been as expected and money isn't rolling in like they hoped.

Considering there are only 5 people including you and me who "know" about it, I know already who your "source" is.

Not aimed at anyone specific, but more generality....I still don't understand why people seem to WANT this to fail. The guys on the team are getting a chance to play some ball and maybe get a look somewhere else by sending out their film, the guys running it are good guys and are trying to do something good for Lima with this.

Based on the first game pics that were posted here....how in the world could they have attendance lower than expected? Unless crowds have gotten drastically worse I can't imagine how that's the case. What kind of attendance were they expecting? I'd have thought 250 would be a good expectation and from the pics of the first game at least, they were well over that.

Tig......I'm not one hoping this fails. I will be the first to admit that I was and still am a skeptic that this can succeed in this market. I really like Coach Q and always enjoyed watching Jamar and some of the other Lima guys play. I hope it works out but I just think it's a tough sell. As for my earlier question, that's just some of the rumblings I've been hearing. Have no idea if it's true or not, that's why I asked as you seem to be in the know. Charlie Sheen......if you look at the photos on LimaOhio.com from the home game on sunday at Elida, attendance doesn't appear to be what it was on opening night at LCC. Can't really see the entire crowd but it looks pretty sparse in most of the pictures.

Where else would these players possibly go?

Not real worried about personnel but a
fact is NO ONE is getting paid right now. How do they plan on making it through the year? Maybe that has something to do with certain players motivation to play. A lot of talk but fact of the matter is this organization does not bring in enough money to make payroll

It's not the people running it for the Lima explosion..it's upper "management" of the ABA.. they design the league to fail. Each new team that sprouts up is another 10k in his pocket and after that it doesn't matter if they can afford the travel and venue..
