Not out yet. Probably won't be for a little while. I believe they have a banquet maybe, then release the all-league selections.

A little surprised Leipsic only have 1 on 3rd team and no one on 1st and 2nd team. They made it to the district finals !

Get this, McComb was 23-2 for the season, BVC runner ups, sectional, district champs, regional runner up, best record in school history. NO ONE made All Ohio??? Not even honorable mention. PG had 2, Van Buren 1 and Leipsic 1. How are these selected??

Good question! The only one I think should be up there is the Shulte girl. I was not that impressed with the play of the others. At least not at the state level.

Kids are nominated by poll voting coaches. If you do not get nominated, you aren't going to get voted on. McComb's coach is not a poll voter so the likelyhood of McComb kids actually being nominated are slim. If the coach doesn't want to be a poll voter, he/she better get another coach to nominate a kid. Either way, talk to your coach.

As I understand, you have to join ($$$) the volleyball coaches association to vote. This does not seem to be the best way to select all-state teams. So this is team is selected by only those coaches who pay to be part of the association????

If you detach yourself from the 23-2 record in a weak conference and take a look at the kids in D4 that were all state and just how incredibly strong D4 was this year you would see that the numbers just aren't there to warrant an ALL Ohio kid. McComb had a real nice season and they did it as a team, getting good contributions from alot of kids but they really only played one decent team until they got to Toledo Christian and that was an average at best Pandora team and TC throttled McComb 10,17,16. The Central Ohio section of D4 was/is so strong that you could have had a final 4 of just them if they didn't have to knock each other out to get to state. Coaches are given sheets with all kids nominated and their stats and they can break it down from there.

Alyse Bergman Marion Local 12 Libero 291 Digs, 4 digs/set 244 rec only 29 errors
Erica Fullenkamp Minster 12 322 Kills, Hit .455 BGSU
Katie Hoyng St. Henry 11
Millie Patchan Tuscarawas Central Catholic 12 438 kills, hit .425 also a setter with 378 assists
Clair Ruhenkamp Fort Loramie 12 155 Kills, hit .308 also a setter 394 assists
Corynne Smith Norwalk St. Paul 11 Couldn't find stats but saw her play and very good defender (libero)
Jessica Thobe Lehman Catholic 12 Hit .355 with 14 kills and 14 digs in State Semis, Hit .310 with 13 kills and 17 digs for State CHAMPS in finals
Alyssa Winner Marion Local 12 310 Kills, Hit .363 going to OSU

Adolph put up nice numbers and was deserving of the 2nd team nod. She carried the load at VB. McComb has some potential studs. Still young but alot of promise. There are SO many fantastic D4 kids in OHIO.

It costs $25 per year to be in the coaches association. Not much when you think about it. Coaches get into the state final 4 games for free. That's worth way more than $25 just getting into the games for free. ha. If you're lucky your school will reimburse you.

Honestly, I don't see any other way that people should be voted on.
