Easton, Not a slam at all here, just curious if yesterdays D performance "sold" you on them? I for one was pretty impressed with the D but was equally impressed with they way OSU threw against the Ducks. With the passing game of the Ducks I figured their DB's, LB's etc would stop the Bucks from throwing a lot ...wrong there.
1 complaint though...and please I am not a Pyror hater...but sure wish someone could/would teach him how to throw correctly. I will definitely take the results from yesterday, but wish he would clean up his mechanics and start throwing the ball properly and not from his ear. If/when he learns and perfects the proper mechanics, look out..he will be an awesome QB

Most definitely impressed with both sides of the ball for OSU. Very balanced attack, got a bit conservative for a while but still moved the ball and kept it out of Oregon's hands. For JT to throw caution to the wind and let Pryor throw the ball really caught Oregon off guard.
OSU is won of the best teams in the country at forcing a team into being one dimensional. Oregon's offense is so predicated on the run and OSU kept the big runs in check for the most part. I was not impressed w/ the Ducks QB and imo in order to beat OSU you have to be balanced and Oregon could not get their passing game going at all.
I don't feel that this win was really that big in hindsight but so long as the OSU team feels it was and harnesses that confidence they should ride this wave to the title game next year.

I'm not so sure that it wasn't a big win. Oregon blew out USC (I know USC was down this year) The Ducks scored over 40 points against Pete Carroll's defense and 17 against tOSU. I think all of the sceptisim on how Ohio State chokes in the big games is finally over. Last year against Texas, the Bucks outplayed them and had the game until that last final drive. Great game and a hard loss to take. Not everyone wins the big games (ie. FLA vs Bama) (Oklahoma vs Boise State) I'm just hoping all of the juniors are coming back next year. Highly unlikely, but if they do.....title game appearance for the Bucks, again? The Big Ten isn't as bad as everyone has been saying this year. Penn State, Wisconsin, and Ohio State have won. The three teams to lose were in a position to win (2 of them were bottom tier teams in the Big Ten)and lost their bowl game in the final minutes.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Was it a big game? Sure it was, but what were the consequences of losing? Nothing, it was in reality, an exhibition game. Both teams came in with two losses. In the grand scheme of things I see this win as no different than the BCS wins over Kansas St and Notre Dame.
OSU should run the table next fall. Beating an Alabama, Florida, or USC when the chips are on the table will be winning the big game.
