L-B knocked one in first late, late in the second half. A foul 15 seconds later sets up an FJ goal. In overtime a (in my opinion) bad call gave Jennings a free kick at almost the same spot, which led to a corner kick that FJ nailed for the game winner. Neither team stood out to me as the better team, but nevertheless it will be an Ottoville FJ remach that saw Ottoville win 1-0 at Jennings during the season. Ottoville appears to be the clear favorite. nerd.gif

in your opinion a ball call? are you serious? HAHA That play should have been a card. Yellow EASY. I am not from FJ nor have I ever been, and nor was I cheering for one team over the other but that was an easy call to make.

From my viewpoint, the defender got all-ball while the Jennings player flopped over it. Like I said, just my opinion.

WHoa... yellow card seriously. I am not saying that I am going to scream about the call but, it could have not been called easily. He got all ball. the only reason the ref made the call was he felt the player came in to much from behind, but he didn't even touch the FJ player, I was standing at a pretty good angle on the call. We are talking about the second slide tackle correct.

The first one, that FJ tied the score. Lb just needed to stay focused for 2 more mins. I think they lost focused and allowed FJ to kick off before they were quite set defensively, or FJ doesn't even tie that game. And LB would be playing Ottoville.

I also think LB would have given a better game than FJ. Fort Jennings didn't really get much offensive pressure until OT. They stepped up their attack then, but were pretty much in Defensive mode most of game during regulation. Not saying LB wins, but Good Luck FJ, You will need to be more physical though against Ottoville.

Yes the second slide tackle is the one we are talking about. The rule does not say if you get all ball it doesn't matter how u slide in. If you trip or attempt to trip an opposing player it is a direct free kick. If its from behind it can be a red but most times it will be a yellow. Unless the center ref thought it was faked by the FJ player where in that case the FJ player would run the risk of a yellow, he will award that kick more times than not. From my angle it looked as if he came in, atleast, somewhat careless right outside the box and it was more so from behind than the side.

In the end, just my opinion. I think FJ will give Ottoville a battle. The game was 1-0 Ottoville during the regular season. We will see. Good Luck to all teams left in the tourny.
