[Rocketman]

Since the end of March my time here on the RC can be measured in very small doses...........it always happens after the conclusion of the basketball season but I'm usually back in some capacity come early June........this year with my work and helping BobDoo on the side has really cut into my free time,, so I apologize for neglecting the site....I've got lots of catching up to do and I'm going to start by settling up on some of the previous contests that I've quite frankly, dropped the ball.........

Since tax season the workload in our office has increased exponentially and we are just now getting caught up.........football season is just around the 'corner and that means the RC will awaken from it's mid-summer slumber and the activity around here will get back to what everyone is used to......

Slicer has been holding down the fort quite admirably and everyone here is grateful for everything she does here...........the pay is bad (actually nonexistent), the hours are long, but the rewards are many......the friendships gained here will last a lifetime and she really shines when it counts.......

We've got some new ideas that we're kickin' around and we hope to have them up and running by football kickoff. This social media craze that just recently became popular and it seems that in just the past 6 months it has taken over the internet........I just heard that Facebook now has over 500 million members and that number is spirally upward with no end in sight........ YouTube has gone viral and the new, next best thing hasn't been dreamed up yet.......if we are going to remain relevant we must adapt to these changes and if anyone has suggestions..............please share!!

uhmmm...you can cut the crap! lol. .... I've been here just a tad more than you, or any of our other mods this summer...not to mention, members!!! ....Just the way it goes at this time of year, I guess....but, thanks for the acknowledgment.
(btw...as you've stated, the rewards are many!! the friends i've gained here are ABSOLUTELY PRICELESS!! )



Do want to throw a shout out to all those that have been keeping the baseball/softball forums going! I'm not a bsball/sftball fan, so, like anyone else, it's hard to keep my attention......

been keeping up on the local sports reports though & wish all our still active teams, best wishes! Wrap it up & take it home!!!!!!!!!

So, what you're telling me is that if I get one of these passes, I can get into the female roller derby here and take some pics of scantily clad chicas on wheels throwing forearms at each other? Does this get me locker room interviews, too? I dunno, but I think the "Sicilian Slicer" may be our own "Slicer" in disguise. Hmm. But her and "Crusher" don't always seem to get along in the roller rink. Oh, the horrors!

RM, you should have heard Slicer's whining while you were gone. All she could talk about was how nobody was answering her posts and how all of her creativity was going unrecognized (yes, ALL of it, not just occasional illustrations of it...every last bit of it now GONE. Absolutely no more creativity left for her). I received SEVERAL phone calls from her. It was creepy. I haven't opened the blinds in my residence for fear she will be hunting me down.

I complain every year at this time about not enough posting, as I rely heavily on my 'entertainment' from this site! I'm well aware of how scant posting is between bball & fball....and no, I don't like it! But, I always survive it and my anticipation grows as August arrives......
And any lack of 'creativity' that i may have ever had, is not due to anything 'round the 'Corner....It's been a couple difficult years for various reasons 'round here....Nothing to do with the RC.

Oh and promise rings? Soooo basically they were invented by an ugly guy too cheap to buy an engagement ring to make his girl PROMISE she won't sleep with anyone else because she's hot and he's afraid of it happening.......just my take.
