Defiance High School will be hosting a series of Scottie Burnett Clinics again this spring, summer and fall. There a total of seven clinic opportunities: April 5, April 26, May 24, June 21, July 19, Sept. 13, Oct. 4. Each clinic is two sessions, two hours each session. Interested wrestlers may attend clinics individually, but there is special pricing for those who attend five or seven clinics.

How many kids have they had at the past clinics?

In April & May, numbers were in low 40's, which provided good competition throughout the room; June was low 30's, still good competition; July mid 20's, instruction was more personal; fall clinics were high teens, primarily Defiance kids, which provided great opportunity for wrestlers to get an increased amount of one on one attention from Coach Burnett.

There were some questions about times and content from another forum, so I thought it may be best to post this info here as well. Form that the link goes to will be updated today to reflect times.

"Its open to all ages, last year we had wrestlers from grade school through high school. Earlier clinics last year we had around 40 wrestlers there. Defiance will have wrestlers from all levels from youth to high school in attendance.

I would recommend that if your wrestler is on the younger/lighter side to bring a partner to ensure that he has a drill partner.

We will update the form to reflect the start times. Thank you for pointing that out.

Our clinics will run 9AM-11AM, one hour lunch break, 12pm-2PM.

The emphasis of the clinics will be folkstyle training. Last year, we covered all three positions. You will be more than satisfied, I assure you. Scottie is one of the best technicians in the state."
