possibly Deitering (P,SS,3B) hitting .500 which in my mind is high but that is what i've recently been told after 3-4 at ADA, Hudson (2B) who is hitting well above .400 now and i'm not sure if he's made an error at second, and possibly Layman(SS,P) did very well as the #2 P and has hit well from Spencerville. I think it's Zollers .... his first name is Ian from Lincolnview.... I have yet to see Paulding play.

Have seen most but not all NWC teams
The pitchers from Spencerville, and Bluffton were very good
Rahrig P and Kortakrax (spelling?) and Miller from DJ
Clay SS, Springer 2b, and Ulrey from Crestview
Thatcher from Lincolnview
Bogart from Grove
I know there are others but not off top of my head
Clay and Korakrax are in top 10 in many offensive stats in the Lima paper

Tough to get all these players in the top 10. It would be good to know some stats for these guys and combining that with where the teams end up in the conference should have an impact. Reading the Delphos Herald about some of the games helps with knowing more about some of those guys (Rehrig Scheurman) but then again I have heard good things about Swaney, Kisor and Cheney and Suderman should be there. Good luck to all these guys.

Rahrig all though a terrific pitcher does not contribute offensively. My thoughts in high school competition and post season awards, players have to contribute from offense as well as defense.
Kisor is probably one of the, if not the best hitter in the league. Has been the past two years and has gone over looked. Very good defensive player and has been a leader on the team.
Swaney, I've seen play twice and feel he is the best catcher in the league. The two games I watched him play, he hosed everyone attempting to run and then came in and struck out the side in relief. Also hitting .400.
Cheney has some big wins for Bluffton and their squad is playing really well. You are probably correct though, for I do not know his offensive put out.
You are correct, Shuerman definetly needs to be included. An oversight on my part. Never live down missing him.
Dietering...I don't know....Has pitched well. Kept S-ville close in alot of games.

Mayber Clay for POY
Leads Crestview in Offensive stats and is at the top or near the top of league leaders, is 3-0 as a pitcher and maybe the best defensive shortstop in league. Maybe co- players of the year, might be the best middle infield in the state, both hitting near .500

Bogart is a solid player but face to face Clay hit a triple and home run in first 2 at bats at Grove this year and Clay has better offensive numbers this year

Bogart, as has the Bulldog squad, not lived up to the hype. Bogart seemed to play very unassuming and appeared to be going thru the motions. Also, maybe a little out of shape. Wolfe is also a solid player, but as with the case above, seems to lack team leadership. If the ship were uprighted, Grove could be a factor in post season. The do have a fine team that needs to play to their potential. Someone needs to step up.
