your right they wont beat them teams in track EXCEPT FOR H-N if we are talkin about the leipsic girls track their was a meet at H-N last night and leipsic got 2nd out of 3 teams and guess what LEIPSIC BEAT H-N GIRLS TRACK ohmy.gif WOW
HAVE A NICE DAY

well, HN also only has like 5 or fewer girls on their team, so if you consider it a track team, than they beat a track team... (its not a track team because of their skill, but because of their teams size)

Susan Berger tied our jr. high pole vault record tonight, and Megan Campbell tied our high school high jump record earlier this year (only in junior high). I doubt she'll be as good as Amanda Barlage in high school though. Amanda was a late bloomer.

Susan only tied our jr. high record and it is 7feet 7 inches.

In D-III Boys - one's I've been watching:
Liberty-Benton should send Benjamin (100, 200), Schoonover (400), Busch (300 IH), Miller (SP)and maybe 4x100, 4x200 and 4x800 relays.
Bluffton should send Shockey (PV), Groman (800) and 4x800 and 4x400 relays.
Arlington should send Krout in the 100, 200, 400 and LJ (and he should score pretty high in each).
Columbus Grove should see Nickles (PV, HH, 300 IH), Morman (HH) and maybe a relay.
Toledo Christian should have Lane (800, 1600, 3200 - doubt he'll be in all three, but he is in top in all 3), Boris (800), Benjamin (100, 200), Kaiser (discus), Bensch (LJ), and maybe a relay.
Waynesfield-Goshen should see J Horn (100, 200, 400, 110HH, 300 IH - they'll need to decide what he will do), G Horn (PV, LJ, HJ, 110HH), Norris (PV, LJ) and Fetter (LJ, 200, 400) and either the 4x100 or 4x200 - but they can't do both.
Delphos-St Johns - Laudick (100, 200), Haggard (HH, 300 IH), Metzner (PV), other Metzner and DeWitt in the 4x100 and 4x200 relays.

Any of these teams has a shot to win it all, but going by current times, Waynesfield-Goshen projects as D-III state champs.

Kaiser from tc will probably make it in shot as well as disc. his top disc is 155 and he threw 50'2 this past weekend in shot. he also placed third at indoor states for shot

The problem with Toledo Christian is they do not compete against anyone throughout the season to become better, their league is a joke in track so they win by 80 points, what does that prove? No doubt they have some quality athletes but they need to upgrade their schedule to get better, it is doubtful that they send as many to the big show as they should considering the talent that they have. I guess this will play out in the next couple of weeks.

tc's league may not be up to par, but they do compete in meets with participants from the division one leagues in the area. they compete against the likes of st. johns, central catholic, southview, and northview in some of their meets. i agree the rest of the taac is awful at track, but i think tc does what it can to go against bigger schools.

I just saw where Toledo Christian won their league meet scoring 204 points - the runner-up had 89 (Northwest, I believe). Lane was the boys MVP winning the 800, 1600, and 3200 and anchoring the winning 4x800 team. Benjamin (sprinter) sat out - don't know why.

Benjamin sat out because of a muscle strain but he will be back for districts. Its true that the TAAC is mostly weak but toledo christian has placed high at all the meets they have been to including the ones against division 1 schools. They do compete against good schools, but they do have an obligation to compete against the teams in their conference as well. Congrats to the tc boys and girls for winning the TAAC titles.

ohmy.gif Cory Meuleman from Columbus Grove threw disc over 175' at the NWC meet. This puts him 1'st in the state in Division III and about 2'nd in state in all divisions. Hopefully he'll be state bound!
