Practice starting soon so what's everyone think about the upcoming season? I see St. Wendelin being the team to beat as they lost little and a very well coached Carey team as the main roadblock in their way of a return trip to state. I'm sure my Arlington friends will say they could and should be in contentention as well as the Ottoville faithful.

I'm going with a fellow PCL team and say the Regional winner will be Ottoville. Well coached and a lot of talent back. I heard rumors that a very tall player transferred out of St. Wendelin? Anyone confirm this?

Arcadia landed a tall girl from St. Wendy, played volleyball. Not sure if she plays hoops. Not Troike though. The four mentioned on here, St. Wendelin, Carey, Arlington and Ottoville will probably be at the top in the area. Everyone else chasing.

This is a girls basketball topic, what does football have to do with it? If anything it would have been better to have established the idea that VOLLEYBALL is still in season.

I would say football was mentioned because of the 38,104 football posts compared to the 1,016 posts in volleyball. I think Mr. Bearcat and the other 75% of posters are on here for football and volleyball is something you do at the beach. I'm not saying I agree with that but those numbers don't lie.

Just stirring the pot! I understand Mr. Bearcat's excitement for football. They have a very good team.

Talking about volleyball. Do many schools have an issue with getting taller girls to go out for basketball over playing winter club volleyball?

Girls Volleyball has taken out many outstanding girl basketball players! They play year round with AAU and it creats a monster for some programs.

Upper Sandusky has two 6'1" senior girls that haven't played basketball since 8th grade but play Volleyball. The 6'2" Grabowski (2014) was the only tall volleyball recently to continue to play basketball and volleyball and at Valparaiso's suggestion and encouragement.
