I just can't imagine him leaving for any reason. He has his dream job at OSU and why would he want to leave that.

LOL....IF Tressel would coach in the NFL, IT WOULD NOT BE THE STEELERS!...His childhood mentor, who Tressel grew up next to, was no other than Lou "The TOE" Groza! And poor Lou would turn over in his grave....lol

As a Steelers fan and a Buckeyes fan I would love it and hate it at the same time, just cuz Tressel is a great coach at OSU. I hope the Steelers can find someone else thats as good as Tressel (impossible, i know).
I wanted to have a career in sports when I was young, but I had to give it up. I'm only six feet tall, so I couldn't play basketball. I'm only 190 pounds, so I couldn't play football. And I have 20-20 vision, so I couldn't be a referee. ~Jay Leno

I read somewhere that Tressel is one of the, if not the, highest paid college coach, so I don't think money will lure him away. He has been magnificent for us Buckeye fans and don't want to think about a day where the vest won't be patrolling our sidelines.

He's up there...just like any high profile coach (if you can call him "high" profile)...making about 2 mil a year. I'm pretty sure Saban is doubling that...and Weis nearly doubling too.

Here's a nice list of the of the top 9 from USA Today

Saban ~4 mil
Weis ~4 mil
Stoops 3.45 mil
Ferentz 2.8
Carroll 2.7
Brown (Tex) 2.6
Tuberville 2.2
Fulmer 2.05
Tressel 2.01

Others...Carr ~1.45 mil, Joe Pa unknown...8 of 11 coaches in the Big 10 making better than a mil a year...... whistling.gif
