Why not use the old barn across campus on Thurs, Fri or Sat. Anderson Arena

I had heard that the west side bleachers in Anderson Arena have been taken out and the room created is being used for the various gymnastic apparatus that the gymnasts used. So a lot of the seats are gone. Also the idea of a contingency plan of playing at L-B makes sense and is probably the most realistic. The OHSAA has backup plans for each and every possible situation and this problem will be easy to implement. At this typing they will just monitor the situation and more then likely make the call early enough for everyone that is going to this game. I'd say we will know by 2 o'clock this afternoon. And they will err on the side of caution.

There isn't going to be a perfect way to do this. ONU or LB would work fine in a pinch. Unusual circumstances call for unconventional measures.

Liberty Benton is better for OG because it is closer, and OG has never lost a boys basketball game at LB :). ONU has been difficult, to say the least, over the years for OG. Not to mention the OG crowds have been slim so far this tournament (for OG standards) and I wouldn't expect much from Huron on a Thurs. night. LB would be fine.

WAR Old Stoney
WAR old school

I wouldn't expect much from Worthington Christian either.

We have been told that a decision on tonights d-1 regional semi-final basketball game at the University of Toledo between Mansfield Senior and Toledo Bowsher should come after 12 today. If it is cancelled, the game would be played tomorrow 3/13/14 at Ohio Northern University in Ada. When the information becomes available, I will post it.

Rip Van Winkle, USV isn't playing anyone, when you lose you're done . State tourney for boys isn't till next week either. This is a basketball site in case you have your sports confused.

The General knows exactly what he is doing - he is just taking shots at USV...

Uh....no they "reported" that it was cancelled....then admitted that their "source" was wrong.....lol Yes it eventually cancelled.....but it was still very much on and confirmed by the OG ath dept when they made the original announcement about it being ppd

Good call Ctown, IF the games are called off tomorrow night the regional will be played at Liberty Benton on Thurs........closer for all 3 teams participating except a little further drive for Huron.

I guess the quote above is plan A. Plan B would be to keep all games at BG and move the D3 to Thurs. and the D2 to Friday......or keep the D2 thurs. and play the D3 semis on Friday and come back and play all 3 finals Sat.

Plan A seems easier and to make more sense, as only one division is being inconvenienced and instead of all three..

Actually at the time the OG athletic department was waiting on OFFICIAL word from BG but privately had already begun working on an announcement that it was going to be cancelled pretty soon.

The source was actually right the whole time, just ZSL got so much guff from other media on being the first to report it that they recanted the info and let someone else "call it".

Just finishing up for the day... three trips to Toledo From Findlay, had no problems at all. Came back the last time at 65 mph.

Did see a few drivers that were lacking in ability to navigate, but that happens when the road is dry.

To bad they called them off. It would have been a nice night to watch some ball!
