So without the two freshman but with the new coach would they be having a winning season?
Not sure how much "talent" didn't play

Well there has been a lot of athletic kids that didn’t go out over the years.

I didn't agree when stud posted it but I'm beginning to think he was right. Great record with some big wins, 23 kids on the roster, unlikely their other boys sports TV highlights show big crowds at their games, and I was told not a single kid quit like they did in other years or in their other sports.

Looks like it's turned around (at least for now).

Tso....

Not a single kid quit because Todd weeded the quitters out....also, who do you think developed these players...not the new coach..the new coach was handed a cupboard that was not bare....the new coach, even though he has a terrible record coaching basketball teaches at Ottoville which is a plus....always a plus to be with the players on a daily basis.....

The real test will come when this coach has to put up with what Todd did....no talent and rebuilding a team of players that want to play!!!!!

That’s not a fair assessment at all. He didn’t weed the quitters out. And Didn’t you just say Todd’s never had any talent but now with this new coach he’s got talent? Which is it? To be fair for the new coach, he had far less talent at FJ than what Todd did and didn’t he only coach their for one year? So how’s that a fair judgement? For any coach it’s a real test when you don’t have any talent. I mean name me a coach that has been successful when not having enough talent? So why you gonna just judge coaches on that? Why not judge them on when they have talent and what they can do with it. That to me is the real test. Too many coaches I have seen have all kinds of talent but still can’t win the big one.

Look let’s not carry this onto like 100 pages again. Just take what it is and let it go. The program is making strides in the right direction. They are winning, kids are going out. Leave it be.

Sterio........

I do think Todd had some talent, but the Ottoville program needed discipline and that is what Todd was trying to accomplish.....and Sterio...as I said earlier....who developed these players......with what was coming up in the lower grades and what Utendorf had coming back, it would be hard not to succeed.....sterio, you could have taken this job over and had the same results!!!!! :thumbup1:

But are you sure that’s what the program needed? Part of the problem was not be able to connect with the players and in a small school struggling to put a team together you need to do that first before disciplining them. Look it’s hard to judge how good coaches are. Just because soemone inherits a good team doesn’t mean that coach is no good. Sometimes good coaches inherit a bad team and don’t do well, are we just gonna say they are not good coaches then? I’m gonna be honest I think this team has exceeded expectations. So you can put the credit to whoever you want. Either way like I said it’s in the past let it go. Boys have incredible numbers than what they used to have and the team is doing better than what most expected. Just let it be.

I felt like PG easily handled Ottoville in the 2nd half. Ottoville can sure hit them 3 pointers though.

I said earlier that PG would spank Ottoville.....can't really call it a spanking, but the best team won....I have always been impressed with Coach Braidic and he has PG going in the right direction........

Thanks Rocketman for the tickets and Stinky's was everything you said it would be!!!!!!!

PG was the better team that night. As far as overall, well maybe we will know come tournament time. I don’t think we can always determine who the better team is on one night. But either both are good teams. Ottoville just gotta learn to play all 4 quarters. The 3rd seems to always be an issue with them. I think they can beat a PG team on neutral court. Neither team wowed me.

The better team was PG hands down. Ottoville clearly lives or dies by the 3 pointer. If you take all ottovilles 3 pointers away PG would have won by at least 20. PGhas not played their best ball the last couple games but they find away to win. Kinda funny how everyone thought Ottoville was so tough and once PG beat them now it's like maybe Ottoville is not so tough. PG beat a good Ottoville team. PG is the better team though.

Take away all the 3s? Lmao that’s a weak argument. You just gonna allow PGs 3s then to stay? Look it’s basketball you can’t just say let’s take one aspect of the game away and this team is no good. I don’t think PG is hands down better. They were better for 1 quarter and that made the difference. Ottoville has a tendancy of playing bad in the 3rd. Either way both teams are good but like I said didn’t wow me.

Right back at you. What’s next you gonna take away foul shots too? Just get over yourself. You made an opinion I came back and disagreed with it. Don’t be so sensitive. Everyone is entitled to their opinion.
