So it is getting close to the bonus date. Any thoughts on if Manning is wearing the blue and white next year?

Nope. Dolphins if Flynn doesn't go there. Jet's if they are blowin smoke about how much they like Sanchez. Cards if Payton can handle their lack of winning tradition. Browns if demons are chucking snowballs down under.

Browns, yeah that would be funny. Being a Browns fan, I don't see Payton wanting to finish his career with a team that has no shot for another couple of years.

I don't know I thought Dolphins. Moore could learn from him, and was not exactly terrible last year.
But This seems different that 49er's and getting rid of Montana..

I don't know why the Ravens don't sign him. They have an aging defense with a small window of opportunity and Flacco is not getting it done,

No way will he stay with the Colts after they draft Luck. You can pretty much eliminate them. Possibly destinations Cardinals, Redskins, Dolphins, maybe the Jets. Since the Rams are willing to trade away their 2nd overall pick. I would look to see who trades up for that pick whether it is a team I mentioned already. If so you can eliminate them because they will go after RG3. I would say if the Dolphins don't trade up for that pick, then that is the most likely destination for Peyton.
No object is mysterious. The mystery is your eye.

What about the Browns? They might move up to get RG3

Ravens want sign him, they have invested alot of time in Flacco and you can't move him down to second now..they just need a WR and a tight end that can catch the ball.

Browns? He would retire first. :pickles:

I think it is too much of a risk to bring back Manning if your the Colts. $28 million bonus is a lot to give a guy when you have Andrew Luck. If I'm the Jets or Ravens, then I figure out a way to get Manning. Both of these teams are being held back at the QB position. Neither of these teams will win a superbowl with Flacco/Sanchez under center.

I think its to much to pay Manning to comeback if you have any thoughts on drafting a QB, especially one like Luck, who can start right away. Now if hes willing to take a big cut, keep him around maybe 1 year to teach, then say see ya...

so I was reading on ESPN and one of their sports writers throws the Seahawks into the mix for Manning. They play in a lesser competation than Washington, Seattle has a better defense ranking than Washington. And He stated Flynn would be a cheaper option for Miami than manning.

That would be an intersting mix, with The Beast at Tailback......

well all signs pointing to him being let go. espn was all over this last night. now the question is how healthy will he be in say 3 months? they say his throwing strenght/velocity has drastically improved over the last month as nerve endings continue to heal. i just want to see what happens after his first few hits and how he takes those.

So now that it is pretty much a done deal. How long before he gets picked up by a team. Do teams try to sign before the draft, or do that wait til after the draft and see if they get what they want.

I don't see him getting sound til like May....

if i was a team i would wait to make sure he can actually play, say after draft or even later. that being said, someone will probably sign him and hope he makes it rather soon, sell some tickets and jerseys, and then hope he can perform come pre season at near 100%.

Looks like the deal may get done sooner than later. Pre draft. Like the Bronco and Miami, and it is really warm in Miami. He could end up with his boy Wayne there as well.

I thought it was interesting even though Washington Needs a QB, RGIII may be the one they end up with. I just didn't see him in a Shenahan offensive scheme, and he isn't one to adjust his offense to his QB. I mean Elway was mobile and all, but not the mobility that RGIII brings, and I don't think is as polished as Elway was in making reads down field. He is usually noted for a solid offense line with running backs, meaning he is going to want RGIII to stand in the pocket more than role out.

Washington needs more then just a QB. Owner who likes to spend money on questionable free agents and now a bunch of 1st round draft picks.

Jets are a joke. Worst place Tebow can go.

As a Bronco fan I'm glad to see Manning, but a little disappointed we didn't get to see the Tebow thing play out. Tebow will be interesting in NY. There's a lot of "cleansing" needed of the Jets' attitudes / demeanor. And what about the media pressure?

So does this now make The broncos a favorite to win the AFC. If Peyton is close to his level of play that he was in Indy. I think they can win the division. Defensively they can win the AFC.
