While Manziel was throwing a party and being late for rehab, a practice player QB was preparing to be a starter, and in less time with the first string, looked much more comfortable than Johnny did either game. Not saying Shaw is the next QB for the Browns, but he looked better than Manziel did in his debut.

Agree. Shaw proved that Manziel wasn't ready. Manziels party, and showing up late the next day proved that he's an idiot. Also, I heard on Drennen Live yesterday that although Manziel was confined to the locker room, he not only came on the sideline later, but also favored sombodys tweet while out there. I guess they sent him back to the locker room.

Really, the whole QB situation is as bad as it can get. It's so bad they may need to consider bringing Hoyer back.

Trade him now before he really proves he is an idiot. Stay with Hoyer who will play better knowing he isn't getting yanked week after week. Shaw back up and then draft a QB this year or next to groom for the future. Hoyer will have an off season without the Manziel mania, I gotta believe he will be more confident. I know he isn't long term but 1 two year to get the rest of the team in order and groom the new guy.

Gordon needs to go too......WR's are a dime a dozen now, everyone in college is throwing easier to replace him than count on him making it through the season. He is one drug test away from being done.
Set the tone now. If they keep both of these guys there will be a constant press coverage and distractions. Brady is married to a supermodel and get's less press than Manziel did for sitting the bench.

Gordan should be OK if he just sticks to drinking cough syrup.

Not a Browns fan, but figured that when the Browns drafted Manziel that the circus would come to Cleveland........and it has.....truly sad when you consider that the Browns were playing some pretty good football for a time this past season.....cut Manziel and everyone will see how quick another NFL team picks him up..........can you say never!!!!!!!!

So clearly Kyle Shannahan was not looking forward to coming back with Manziel as his QB, so much for Manziel fitting into his scheme. Not that I was huge shannahan fan, he didn't seem to be able to adjust his play calling for the players he had playing or The Browns would have been able to run more, to much was made out of losing Mack. But if your first year OC wants to leave to possibly go to a lateral move, then front office is clearly interfering more than they should. New system new OC, Manziel QB, Hard Knocks filming practices, can't wait for training camp to start...... :wallbash:

He could have kept his mouth shut and left with some class. Ratting them out about the call down from the booth is a Dick move

Calling a rat a rat sounds ok to me. Calling down a play is a dick :pickles: move. LJ

I agree with LJ on this. Kraft isn't calling down to Belicheck, and saying Hey Bill have Brady throw a deep route. There are four teams left in the Playoffs and none of these teams that are left, have owners that are publicly involved with there team. They may have more say than we think, but you don't know if they do. The staff and coaches on the field seem to have all the control. At least the Buckeye's on paper should be better than this year next year, with all the players they have coming back, because as a Browns fan I just think it is going to be a long season.
