I just can’t see it happening for us.......we’re pretty good but Crestview comes out of the mighty NWC and has the experience......

The mighty NWC? Lol

What experience does Crestview have over PG? PG has 9 seniors. Unless Crestview went to regional finals last year which they did not then I’m not buying into this more experience thing.

I can see PG getting to state but I don’t see them beating either of the other 4 teams remaining.

I'm with ya on that. Kinda doubt any NW Ohio team wins down there ... girls or boys.

Au contrare Flight.....don’t count out any of the NW teams....Both boys and girls representatives from our area bring a lot of experience to the table which is immensely important when you get on the big stage

I think it will be a close game b/w PG and Crestview.

I also think Crestview and PG can compete with the SW rep as well and def the NE rep.

They said the same thing about Crestview in 2003 and we went to the finals losing to Marion.

Good luck!!

PG seniors v. CC juniors. PG defense has allowed only 37 ppg this year. If they keep CC under 50 they can win.

How seasoned are the PG seniors, have they been starting since their freshmen year?

PG has also played a lot of bad teams that don’t score a lot of points. So the whole stat of them holding teams to 37ppg can be a little deceiving. Do remember that Crestview plays pretty good defense as well so the key won’t be holding them under 50. It’ll be can PG score more than 50. This was a matchup I predicted and was intrigued to see. I think they are similar teams. It’s gonna come down to whoever can hold their own and make foul shots because I think this game gets physical as both teams are.

Whoever gets over the nerves first and settles in will have a huge advantage in this game.....I like both communities and schools, but would really like to see PG advance for players, Coach Braidic and all the Rocket fans because it would be a first..... good luck to both teams and hope it is injury free!!!!!!

TOTALLY agree. CV goes through huge lapses of not being able to score. You'd think with their height they could go into the painted area ... ehh, why would anyone want an easy bucket or to get to the line ... ? ......smh. Pisses me off to watch them at the offensive end.

I think it’s a common trend. it seems like a lot of teams have size but fail to use it. They just hang around the 3 point line. This game has changed. We don’t see the old school pound it inside anymore.

I would agree with that to some extent. It depends on who you’re watching. I heard last night’s late D2 game between Wauseon and Lexington was more of a grind it out pound it inside game. These types of games ARE becoming more few and far between though as you say

I was there and they definitely tried to establish things inside out. Lexington had more success down low even though Wauseon had the big kid. Neither team really got it going from deep, but as I said, they scored inside and at the line. Good game to watch. Great defense. Couple dunks.

Beechcroft on the other hand was awful. And Bay wasn't anything to write home about. I'll take LEX in RF.

Beechcroft was missing a starter (broken toe), and had another stud starter under perform badly. Basically laid an egg. Disappointing because I think many people had hoped for a Wauseon/Beechcroft #1 vs #2 matchup. That’s Tournament though
