Because this type of forum is dead and irrelevant, the 3 morons who are fanning the flames of success on this one look like they have prevailed in some monumental way to rid the world of evil. The truth is that on Twitter and Instagram, which are blowing up, the Kalida Board of Ignorance looks foolish and ridiculous. The irony to this all is that Kalida is on the map in Ohio because of Dick Kortokrax, and they will remain so because of this decision.

This decision is not one reflective of Dick, it is one reflective of society today. Kalida has now joined the ranks of the rest of the entitlement driven world. Character, integrity and hard work are not important today anymore apparently. Nice job Kalida BOE, socialism is now a part of your school culture.
WHAT??!! Hes 800 years old... I have respect for the guy but he is about 10-15 years overdue....asking him to leave makes them socialist??

Good call...forgot about the new sectional/district set up. Whens the last time Kalida's been out of sectionals, 2011?

For all who were Dick haters, you got your wish. Now, let him alone and so he can have a great life after BB. I still think it is BS that they did not let him go one more year to reach 900. That is the way the cookie crumbles. God Bless Richard L. Kortokrax for all the great things you did. Thank you for being my coach many years ago and teaching me the importance of living and striving for your goals. Just ask Mr. Ramp (96' Kalida grad), the new head trainer for the LA Dodgers, who thanked Dick several weeks ago (before all this stuff) in the LA Times sports section for helping him set goals while he was in HS. Maybe some of you read the article.

Dick was out and about supporting the baseball team yesterday at the Leipsic game.

Not a Dick hater at all. I'll be the first to agree though that it was time for a change but to do it this way doesn't sit well with me. Let him coach one more year (#60, correct?) and go for win #900. It could be a farewell tour...ala Kareem or most recently Jeter/Kobe

No guarantee he gets to 900..... what if he got to 899 and that was it? Go another year?
Nothing says this team gets 10 wins this year under Dick. He said as much himself in PC.

Agreed, which is why I said "go for" #900. Who's on the list of realistic candidates?

I agree with all of you, it was time to retire. Thank you Tiger for putting that article about the Dodgers' new trainer. I believe it is time to move on with new & different topics. Thank you.

They have had a dozen coaches on the bench the last few years I've seen em play. Isn't one of those jokers up to the task ?

Why can't we end this topic? So much bitterness toward the King.

Probably got what, 10-15 candidates by now for the position? Any word on who the new coach will be? Team camps start in a month!

I have heard Columbus Grove coach Ryan Stechschulte is interested. His wife is from Kalida and they live in Kalida school district.

Ryan Stechschulte
Kevin Stechschulte
Todd Turnwald
All of the above would be a great hire and give Kalida a coach who could reach today's athlete at their level........something that has been missing!!!!!!

Yea, I think I'd leave him right where he's at .....
I believe Kalida has a freshman and JV team ....
Hate to see a new guy come in and the numbers tank even more.

How about Dick Kortokrax's grandson winning the first ever gold metal for Kalida's new (1st) track team this year in the county finals. Way to go, must have great genes from grandpa.
