Any thoughts or insights?

Last year I only saw 2 bball games due to dealing with major truck issues amongst other things so I am pretty much in the dark about the league and who has what returning.

Hopefully I will be able to take in quite a few games this year.

I went to a shootout in Evergreen to see how Antwerp did and I thought Archbold and Bryan looked pretty good. Patrick Henry should be decent. Other than that I don't know much, this just off of one day

Being early and not knowing much about the NWOAL I suspect the usual band of suspects will rule the roost in this league. Archbold for the most part and Bryan willl lead the way where teams like Montpeilier will bring up the rear.

Delta finished 13-9 and in the middle of the pack last season. They lost two of their better players to graduation(Beverly and Salsbury) but the JV did well last year, they can replace them, plus they have a foreign exchange student that appears to be pretty good as well. I figure their record will be about the same as last season maybe a little better.

I'm hoping for the annual local rag preseason edition to help refresh my memory on who has what coming back from last year.

I also have penciled on the schedule, Bryan at Holgate on the 10th, Archbold at Holgate on the 17th, and Maumee Valley Country Day at LC on the 23rd. This way I will already see 4 of the league teams by January. I will be going to Pettisville at PH, Ayersville at PH and Napoleon at PH in December too.

It sounds like Archbold is head and shoulders above the next "tier" Bryan/PH/Wauseon?

PH plays at MC tonight. And for the Puddle, its hard to get them to come over cause you cant type Rocketcorner in a post or a private message. So somehow ya need to email or text them if ya know them.

It seems like Wauseon might be the team to beat after the opening weekend. They have their top 4 scorers back from last year, have some size and good guard play. They showed all that in beating Archbold. Archbold lost Frickie and Morten, who between them were their best players, only players to get them in their offense and the leaders of their tema the last two years. They will be hard to replace.

Patrick Henry is returning a lot of players. They have some size and a lot experience on their side. If they can hit the three and clear the defensive boards, they could be the team to beat. Bryan lost a lot of scorers but their sophmore class is loaded, with two of them playing last year as freshmen. I think they will struggle early but will be a tough win by the end of the year.

Evergreen and Delta both lost theior top players and I think will struggle but will still finish in the middle. Montpelier was improved last year, Swanton has been down for years and LC has only two returning scorers. I think they will finihs in the bottom third of the league.

I think that Wauseon/Archbold and PH will split against each other. I also think that Bryan will rise up and beat one of these teams so it will be a two way tie at 7-1 between two of them.

Delta has looked good in their games with Stryker and Pettisville winning both.

Nobody monopolizing the ball the so far this year...

Free throw shooting is still a major problem though...

Very surprised to see Wauseon beat Archbold. I believe the Indians were a sub-.500 team last year.

I'm trying to get caught up on the league. I havent seen any league team the last 2 years.

Ive seen PH and Bryan so far and have Archbold and LC games on my calendar for Dec. Although I might skip the Archy/Holgate game Saturday for PH-Tinora.

Looks like Archbold has risen to the top of the league again after last night.
