Why do you automatically assume it's different for private schools? Do you know if the Alter girls grew up together? Spend weekends hanging out? Many, if not most, private schools are their own tight knit community. Families know each other, spend time together, volunteer together at the school, kids grow up together, etc... One big family like many public schools. We're not so different.
Thanks Bobby. Just because some of the girls may live in different zip codes doesn't mean they went to Alter to play basketball. I don't know this as fact but I would assume that most of the schools in a Kettering did very well in the basketball season, not just Alter.

Bobby, I know you're a Delphos guy....obviously that's a little different scenario than the larger schools in the bigger cities. I know kids at some of the larger schools who drive 30+ minutes to get to school....and play sports (and no I'm not saying that's the only reason they went to the school). Sure, they'll see each other outside of the school, but it can't be anything like what goes on in a smaller town like Ottawa, Delphos or another town that size. Again, not complaining...just don't think you'd get the same experience as a player/parent/fan in a situation like Alter, Moeller, St. Ignatius, St V St M, etc....

It's possible they don't have the same experience but I don't know if that's true or not. Private schools in larger cities most probably do have different experiences than Delphos or Ottawa but so do public schools in big cities. People from big city schools might think our experiences are as odd as we think theirs are.

Heidi Schlegel from Wapak is looking for a HS coaching job in NW Ohio. Sounds like a great kid.
