How! Who they got that? Some OG fan told me they don't have anyone that could start for them!

Not even the Williams kid? OG must have got out coached then, I guess the OG fan was wrong.

Yea, I don't know who would have said that. I like Hiegel and Jay, but the rest struggle to score.
I watched Africentric tonight and I think Archbold can beat them.

Rabbit pulled one out of the hat tonight. Totally outcoached and outplayed OG tonight. Titans had no answer at either end. Really glaring deficiencies.

Archbold was the better team tonight. 3 point shooting was Archbold 10/20 and OG 1/8.......titans were a good shooting team almost all season but it wasn't meant to be tonight. The Blue Streaks Williams is a heck of a player and was the best player on the floor tonight followed closely by Jay Kaufman. I think Archbold will beat Africentric Saturday and make a return trip to state. Blue streaks are a quality program with an excellent coach in Doug Krauss.

The flurry of 3 pointers in the 3rd qtr. for Arch was the difference IMO, Titans seemed like they were climbing uphill the rest of the game after that stretch.

Archbold is a great story. They looked just ok against Eastwood. I thought they would lose to Stritch after watching those games. They came out and played terrific basketball Saturday. I thought Stritch played really well too and it was a very fun game to watch. I suspected OG would win tonight, but Archbold does it again. My takeaway is they are hot at the right time. Williams is playing at an unreal level. They are so disciplined and well coached. They have a great chance to win Saturday. I don’t think it will be an easy game or a sure win, but I would not bet against Archbold.

Doug Krauss is one of the best coaches you’ll find.....he will have something ready for the Titans for sure....I’m gonna say this one comes down to the last minute.....

OG 61
Archbold 59
First off it didn’t come down to the last minute....
Second, it was much higher scoring than I thought....
Third, the “3’s” were the difference maker.....
4th, Doug Krauss is one helluva coach......

Archbold moved the ball well & Q3 was the deciding factor...Streaks dropped 28 in Q3 after having 29 at the half. #23 knocked down back-to-back 3's to give them an 8-9 pt lead & Titans couldn't claw back. OG look tired in Q4 but did managed to get it to 4 pts with @ 2 min to go. Got a steal but couldn't convert two point blank shots in the paint...Archbold gets the board & scores points from the line I believe to extend the lead. Fun game to watch & final score isn't indicative of how competitive it really was

I was at the game. That was 2 good teams playing at high level. OG had no answer for Williams, whether he was shooting 3's or driving to the bucket. Archbold's ability to handle the ball and attack OG's pressure was a big difference. Like good teams do, Archbold attacked OG's press vertically which led to a lot of open looks, and Archbold's defense did not make things easy for OG. With so many just terrible teams in NW Ohio, it was a pleasure watching 2 really good teams play.

Talked to a Archbold fan that knows Bryce Williams dad. He said he and other Streak fans want to thank the 2000 Continental BOE for running the Williams family out of town!

Who do they need to thank for Ramos showing up there?

Anyone know what the deal was with the shooting foul just before halftime? I thought they called for three foul shots right away, but they deliberated with a guy at the scorer's table (alternate official?), who seemed to help change the call from two to three shots which pissed off Krauss. Hard for me to tell.

That Williams kid is originally from Putnam Co so yes he can play as you say. His dad is former Continental coach Doug Williams. The Pirate fans ran him out of town just like everyone else.

On the next agenda I think we should get an official "Thank You" from the BOE to the BOE. Such great people. I don't know why anyone would want to coach here.

Though it had no effect on the game since it was the same for both teams........I was wondering who is the genius that decided to paint the HS 3 point arc a light tan color, which blended in almost perfectly with the wood floor at the Stroh Center? The HS 3 point arc is a foot inside the college arc which is painted dark brown.

That may be the reason the official originally called it a two, because the OG shooter was inside the college arc, but behind the stealth HS arc.

Agreed, I didn't even see the HS 3-pt line until that play...thought it was only a 2 based on his feet positioning, then noticed the camouflaged HS line

No guarantees in high school sports, you run into a hot shooting team one night and it's over. OG had beaten Archbold 9 straight, so you couldn't help but think OG was looking past them. Most had OG in the final four before the season started.

Open enrollment and the fact that Stryker is less than 10 minutes from Archbold.
