You have to consider the position played, competition played (schedule/opponents players), style of play that the coach was using, possible injuries. Just too many variables in my opinion!

Xavier is the most complete player from our area ever. his handles are sick, can drive and move in the lane, pull up from any where and hit 3's.
Greg was the best pure scorer I've ever seen in person. He did not have the passing ability of X (or maybe he just didn't have the desire....dunno)

yes, as hs players from Lima/Allen County. I don't think you can argue with it, though some may...

to be fair, the subject line said best HS player from lima...not best basketball career from Lima. how someone fared in college don't dismiss their hs career

Yes Greg may have been the purest shooter ever but all round Nah.
he might night even be top 3 if factor in all round.
I never seen him play much Defense or assist much state championship game!!!
he was on hell of a shooter tho.
X posses all Smart, can shoot inside & Out, find open man, and play lock down defense.

High School is over now, let's see what he does in college. There were many great HS players, but let's wish him the best in the future.

I was referring to Jamar not having any tats in high school, then going to Columbus and getting a ton of them (impressive ink, btw)...it was in reference to forfan saying Jamar's tattoo game being "strong"....guys, reading comprehension is a beautiful thing
tattoo's are really common place in OSU athletics and all of college basketball...and I'm not just referring to "pryor" players

He's got a LOT of work to do to make the top 10. Hutchins, G. Simpson, X. Simpson, Butler, Joe Fischer, Jim Andrews, etc... There are more names listed above who are WAY above Mathias.
And Elida is not just technically not part of Lima, it's factually not part of Lima.
Tattoos are not just part of college athletics, they are part of life for kids. The 35 year old police chief of the village I work in is tatted from neck to toe.
