Has anyone else noticed the quality of refering being down this year?

I don't remember the last time I seen a district final game in this area that either team didn't go into bonus in either half.

Personally, I think Kalida was lucky to get as far as they did....send them over to VW sectional and they would be one and done most years!!!!!!

I agree, but you see it every season....a foul during the season is a no call during the tournament and teams have to adjust...I don’t agree with it, but following the Jays last season to state and it was the same way.....basketball is no longer a non contact sport and at times is brutal....officials really suck and I cannot remember the last time I witnessed a good officiated game......we all make mistakes just as officials do, but as a fan who wants to just enjoy a game with no partisan affiliation it just does not happen....to many officials think they are god and we are there to watch them!!!!!!

Officiating has been pretty much analogous to the level of play and skill level of the players today compared to the past. It is tough to officiate a game where teams have players that can't handle the ball/ shoot nor demonstrate the basic fundamentals like boxing out, etc.

Instead of worrying about the officiating I'd be more concerned with the fact that on any given Friday night there may have been 10 teams able to score 60 points. I can't imagine how painful it would be to watch games in the 40's week in and week out
