Two things I loved about the game:

1. Early in the game the Bengals showed no respect for the Browns defense by going for it on 4th and short within NUUUUGE chip shot territory….and the Browns D stuffed it to set the tone for the game.

2. The Browns got the ball in the 4th quarter and drove 90 yards-eating up the clock AND scoring 7 points. That is the kind of drive fans envisioned when they drafted Richardson….but they got it done with Hoyer and McGahee.

By the way, just because a team goes for it on 4th down doesn't mean they have no respect for the opposing team's defense. It mean's they have respect for their own defense.

What??? They were in the red zone-they should have kicked a field goal. It showed no respect for the Browns defense that they felt they could get the first down instead of kicking the FG.

If Richardson was the so called "best player on the team" how are they 2-0 since he got traded away? I look at it this way-they got a 1st round pick for the guy and it didn't really make the team any worse…..so it was a GREAT trade. And now Hoyer is playing winning football-why tank the season when there are no guarantees that a draft pick would be better than Hoyer might end up being.

Once again, just because a team goes for it on 4th down, no matter where the ball is at, does not mean they disrespect the opposing teams defense. The Browns actually have a pretty solid defense just look at the stats. I don't think any team in the NFL disrespect their defense. Think about this for a second fortfan, maybe the reason the Bengals went for it is because they felt confident enough in their offense to get the first down? The Falcons were in the redzone on Sunday night against the Patriots, but instead of kicking a field goal when they were down by 4, they intended on going for it. That doesn' mean they disresecpted the Patriots defense, it just meant they had enough confidence in their offense to get it done. It's really not that difficult to figure out.

Outside of Jordan Cameron, who is really making an impact this year, Richardson was one of their best offensive weapons. It may have been an ok trade but not GREAT considering the Browns had to trade up in the draft just to get him and now only getting a late first rounder. Don't think for a second that just because they traded him the Browns all of a sudden are a better team. They beat a Vikings team who just won their first game of the season against a depleted Steelers team and also beating the Bengals in which they usually split every year any way. Now they will go up against the Bills. After that, it's get tougher.

I think this article pretty much sums it up. http://bleacherrepor...s-and-nfl-draft

I guess where I am getting at is that when this trade occured, it seemed to show that they were giving up on this season. Getting rid of one of their main offensive weapons. If you were thrilled about this trade, that's great, because I know I wouldn't be and some of the Browns fans I talked to are still not happy even after this 2 game winning streak. I felt maybe they could have waited until the trading deadline got closer to see where they were at as a team first before making this deal.

In the Bengals situation-they should have kicked the field goal. They didn't think the Browns could stop them. They did. Opportunity wasted by the Ben-gals.

Get over it. That's not your call, they believed their offense could get it done but didn't. Just like the Falcons on Sunday night. Those kind of situations and decisions happen a lot not just against the Browns. Unless you are a Bengals fan, why complain about the decision? Don't be that person that starts making fun of team names now.

Awful bossy aren't we?

I'm right and you're wrong. That's my opinion. Seems ike no matter what I say-you are going to argue about it.

AS for tanking the season for a draft pick:
Leave it to the players to ruin managements desire to ruin a season. Wait, didn't they make a movie about something like this once? Hollywood must know something about Cleveland the rest of us don't! Yikes, I hope the Browns players don't have a cardboard cutout of Michael Lombardi somewhere taking a piece of clothing off with each win!"

The only thing I have really been arguing with what you said is your comment earlier about not respecting the Browns defense. Just think about that for a second. For the remainder of the season just think about everytime an offense goes for it on 4th down, that it must be because they don't respect opposing teams defense. Maybe somewhere down the road you would imagine how ridiculous that sounds considering the Browns have a top 10 defense in the league statisically and I am sure the Bengals knew that. That maybe, just maybe the Bengals felt confident in themselves that they could convert that and not think in the huddle "The Browns D stinks, we got this".

Look I am not for tanking games either, never have been. I just brought it up because that seemed to be the talk after the Trent trade to Indy. I am just shocked that the Browns traded Trent so early, I thought if anything maybe wait til a week before the trade deadline.

Quit being so damn stupid and think about the situation the Bengals had. Early in the game-no reason not to kick a field goal. No 4 point defecit like the Falcons had. No doubt on whether their kicker could make the FG from that distance. They just didn't think the Browns could stop them from getting the first down. Well, they did and it set the tone for the rest of the game. You are taking this so personal...geesh.....

Back to Browns football...Thursday against the Bills. This s the kind of game the Browns would lose in years past....just when the fan base starts feeling good about the team, they play poorly....Browns are 4 point favorites......Are we being setup for a let-down?

One of the greatest lines ever. As innocent as that line in The Flintstones song: "....You'll have a ***** old time"

I'm making it personal? Have you been reading your comments lately? I'm not the one on here swearing and calling someone stupid. You just need to settle down. No need for that. And how exactly was I "hard" on you? Look I think you got me all wrong. I never said what the Bengals did was the right choice. I am just basically making the argument that just because they went for it on 4th down, doesn't mean they disrespect the Browns. Bengals had confidence in their offense to go for it on 4th down. I don't know why that upsets you so much. I think you might be the only Browns fan that made a much bigger deal about them going for it than you really had to. No need to take it so personal. Trust me I agree with you that it may not have been the best choice but it was NOT because they disrespected the Browns. If you want to continue thinking that, fine.

No the Browns will win against the Bills. It's the game after that you should be worried about. I think the Detroit game is your "setup for a let down" game because they will have won 3 in a row and feeling good about themselves. Their next 4-5 games are going to be tough. Like I said before if the Browns are able to win 2 out of those 5 games that would be a good accomplishment.

So Hoyer blows out his knee before he's played enough games to see if they need to draft a QB. That sounds like the same soap opera script us Browns fans have been reading the last 40 years, lol

Now that was funny!! A couple of things. In Weeden we will finally see. With the success of Hoyer, Weeden will have to prove he can get rid of the ball quicker, and make throws the receivers can make plays with. Clearly will see against Detroits interior pass rush. Hoyer did seem to bring spark to the team, and typical for the Browns when something starts to go right something bad happens. My question to everyone is it seems The browns should take a QB in the Draft. So who do you like for the pick.

One of the problems with Weeden is that he throws about a foot off target all the time at a high velocity. Running backs don't stand a chance, and receivers can't get any YAC cause they are just trying to catch the freakin' thing.

As for who to draft: I would like Bridgewater or Boyd, but they will probabaly get that idiot Manzel, who reminds me of Colt McCoy. Sigh.
