Think DSJ will bring more fans to Arlington than the 40-50 that showed up to the game at
Marion Local?

I'm assuming this god awful weather and the fact that we were lining up for slaughter had a lot to do with it. DSJ usually travels very well!

I agree. This is the weakest team DSJ has fielded in a very long time.

say what you want about the MAC......this is not a vintage DSJ team. Red Devils will take this one.

Actually could work out well for Jay fans. That's about all there is for seating on the visitor's side. :pickles: The Delphos folks should get there early too. Parking is only slightly better than Donnell. :wedgie:

This is the year Arlington finally gets to take DSJ to the woodshed on the friendly confines of Doc Castor Field....

Woodshed? I think they'd settle for being on the right side of a one point thriller.

Haven't seen Delphos, but Red Devils make a deep run this year in playoffs

BOB - yes, we will take a 1 point thriller but this is a game Arlington should make a statement in. DSJ and the MAC get a ton of respect from everyone and rightfully so. Arlington has had their playoff run end to DSJ at least 3x so there is no lack of respect that is for sure. I just look for Atown to make a statement early and often in this one - particularly with this being played at Doc Castor. Arlington returns 90% of it's playoff roster from last year and had a talented QB move in to the district - the pieces are there, now it's time to make it happen.

This may be true Blue, and you would know better being a Bluejay fan. But, to their credit they stayed with Elida but lost in OT and got beat in another close one by LCC (8-2) by only 6 pts. They ended the season getting beat by two potential state champs in ML and Coldwater.

DSJ beat Elida in overtime and beat LCC.

An interesting fact this year about DSJ....in their 6 losses, they have only scored 14 points in these games combined. In fairness to DSJ, the combined record of these 6 losses is 43-17. Arlington's defense has been their strength this year, so this one could be a low scoring affair. I think a lot depends upon the weather as well. On the flip side, Arlington has scored a ton of points this year, but clearly against inferior competition when comparing to DSJ schedule. I look for a 21-7 final score - Arlington advances.

You are correct my friend (post deleted). Just had a cardiologist apt at OSU Med Ctr and wasn't focused on the post. I still think Arlington will win this one....but I'm thinking it could be close.

Good luck Red Devils!

How improved are the Red Devils from last year? DSJ's defense handled them with ease. The defense this year isn't as good as last year, but it should be good enough to take on D7 teams. It is DSJ's offense that it their weak spot.

Yes. And I'd guess there will more than a couple hundred Marion Local fans at their game next week, too.

Agree with this 100% DSJ will have a HUGE advantage in the coaching department and it will show big time with their discipline defense. Arlington offense is very average. If DSJ doesn't have any bad turnovers I'll take DSJ 20-14

Here come the haters and the experts in DW269. "HUGE advantage in coaching dept" - wonder what premise this is based on?
