Leipsic: By November standards it was a pleasnt night at Edwards field in Leipsic
as the #1 team in region region 24 in division 7 hosted the #8 team
Delphos St. John's. The Vikings entered the game sporting an 8-2 record
and St. John's 6-4. This was the 5th meeting between the 2 schools with
St. John's winning the previous 4. History would hold as the Blue Jays
came away with a win by a score of 33-18.

Delphos SJ wasted no time getting on the scoreboard as junior QB Nick
Martz ran twice, his 2nd run going for a 59 yard TD to make the score 6-0
as the PAT was no good after a botched snap to the holder. Leipsic then
went on a 15 play, 56 yard drive but came away with no points losing the
ball on downs at the 14 yard line. Delphos St. John's went to the air for
the first of only 2 times on the evening on 3rd down and the Vikings
intercepted and returned the ball to the 1. A subsequent Jordan Chamberlin
TD and a failed PAT deadlocked the game at 6.

DSJ took over at the 39 yard line and on the first play of the drive
running back Tyler Jettinghoff took it 61 yards to the house and a
successful PAt made it 13-6 St. John's. Leipsic answered with an 8 play
drive that stalled at the 15 yard line on a QB keeper on 4th down.
Leipsic's defense held for the first 2 plays of the ensuing drive and then
DSJ fullback Luke McLennan went 85 yards for a TD. St. John's held Leipsic
on the following drive and regained possession at the Vikings 39 yard line
and after a 4 play drive, QB Nick Martz hit paydirt to make the score 27-6
going into the half.

In the 2nd half Leipsic moved the ball early in the 3rd quarter and Jordan
Chamberlin took it in from 57 yards making it 27-12. The two teams then
traded 3 and outs and Delphos put the game away late in the 3rd on a 60
yard TD scamper by fullback Luke McLennan. Leipsic then threw and INT, but
the Vikings defense held Delphos SJ to a 3 and out and Leipsic would
answer with a 7 play drive for the final Touchdown of the game when
running back Jordan Chamberlin went in form 6 yards out. The teams traded
possessions in the 4th quarter as Leipsic QB Zach Kuhlman had to leave the
game with an apparent injury to his hand, he was relieved by sophomore
Ross Mangas, who drove the Vikings down inside the Bluejays 20 until
Delphos held on downs. On the last drive of the game, DSJ QB Nick Martz
completed his first pass of the game for a first down and seal the win for
St. John's.

Leipsic finished the season at 9-3 and St. John's moves to 7-4 and will
take on 7-4 Tiffin Calvert at a site to be determined.
