Love it when state ranked teams eschew the bye and play an extra game in the sectional against a team they know they will roll over, really proves a point.

Liberty Benton 70 Northwood 8

Ottovile 58 Hardin Northern 8

looks like northwood and hardin northern both converted on the 2 pointer after each team's respective touchdown.

Final in OT

There were some games that weren’t bad last night really.

I thought the same thing. Why play a bad team? I guess it's all about the stats for those 2 programs.

Some times it's better to play a game than practice.

In both Ottoville and LB's case, a practice would have presented more of a challenge.

But hey at least that running clock feature didnt hurt the pace of play :pickles:

The idiots on Rocketcorner are out in full force. If you had any sense at all you would have noticed that both teams ended their regular season on Feb. 13th. I would have to say that both teams didn't want to wait 11 days to play between games so they decided not to take a bye. But I bet the idiots on here know more than the inexperienced coaches of Ottoville and Liberty-Benton.

Maybe a change of schedule could benefit them. Playing a game like that I understand why if there was a layoff plus get used to the floor, atmosphere, etc....However, a chance of injury could result especially if playing a weak and inexperienced team. I am sure each coach had their reasoning for what they did.

Liberty Benton's coach was playing Vanlue last year and was winning by at least 40 points in the 3rd quarter when he decided to put his starters back in to win 92-14. Now you tell me what was he thinking there.......

Couldn’t have said that better myself. I was going to chime in on that comment but seen this. Well said.

There is nothing that a #1 seed can benefit by playing a team that can hardly get the ball up the floor. Ottoville has played in big games this year as has Liberty Benton.

This wasn't about experience it was about the girls on the bench getting some playing time because their season is over except for mop up time if need be.

Disagree, they can play their 2nd and 3rd string players. You take a bye like Ottoville did not, you would not play for 2 whole weeks. I would rather play a game. Great job Coach Kleman. Also helps for next year. He did not run it up like some other schools did.

Eaz up their Tso,

Thee only thing that LB and Ottoville gained by playin that ther game wuz that there coaches eech got a victory to add to there all time victory list. I wuz at that darn game and thoze Ottoville girls were jumpin an runnin all over the place. It wuznt purdy or fun to watch. And why not sit back an take the by, I meen the next game they play wont be any better. Anuther blow out. what if one of thoze Ottoville girls wuld have got badly injured. Just lucky for you fellers that my Rams are a good bunch of girls that play by the rules and they also make the honor roll. Just a ugly game to watch cauz Ottoville runz up the score on teams. I wish are boyz teams culd play the Ottoville boyz in tourny to get some reveng for this game.I luv how spell chek works it makes it reel eezy to make these posts. I am reely frum USV but over here in this neck of the woods we are all like one big family.

Ok I’ll take your bait. First off what revenge are you talking about? What do the boys have anything to do with it? Second you can get injured at practice. So to avoid a game because of possible injuries is just stupid. Injuries can happen at any time. And what are these rules that you speak of that apparently “your girls” play by? You play to win the game not be nice and let the other team keep it close. Teams don’t take the bye sometimes because of the long layoff and feel like they don’t wanna hurt any momentum. You can benefit mor from a game that you should win over a practice. Still able to learn things or get things back on track.

To me it just seems like some of these coaches take themselves a little too seriously

Maybe but I think to a certain extent that’s ok.

Whats it say about those teams that only put up 8 points against those on the bottom of the varsity roster. You'd tgink the starters from those two teams could of gotten 20 points.
