I was a spectator at the otsego/vb game. Both teams looked very sloopy...whether vb had won i still dont belive they would have a chance against riverdale...but also otsego has zero chance to win today...vb if u would learn to play poession soccer u could be decent but u play the long ball(kick and run) too much and it is very ugly soccer...but it regarding the game it was an unfortuante goal at the end of the game for u...flannigan and baker should have definately been issued red cards for violent conduct--striking an opponent....that was the most poorly officiated game i have seen in a long time. The refs were very inconsistent..they let too much go...at the end of ot before shoot-outs they let the players go off the field which is a big do not...the last 11 players on the field r the ones supposed to be choosen for the pk shots but how do u know who was on the field if u let them go off to the bench....

You aren't given a straight red just for shoving an opponent after a play. Baker retalliated after the other player struck him, and the far side ref saw this. The player that Baker struck was bragging and was all up in his face, also. So, in order to preserve the "Sportsmanship is a continuing priority of the Ohio High School Athletic Association..." speech, the players shook hands. Both should have gotten yellows, but I was fine with what happened. The refs were kind of spotty in places, and I hated that, but the game wasn't as bad a you described it, Hustler.

I'm pretty sure that in HS the shooters do not have to be on the field at the end. GKs definitely do not have to be in the game at the end. USSF & you'd be right Hustler...I think. Wouldn't be the first time this cat was wrong.

Shooters have to be on the field at the end of 2 OT....unless of course it goes beyond 11....

For some reason I'm positive that they don't have to be. HS is an entirely different bird than USSF & FIFA. Not that it really matters...
