Really early of course. Any word on who is supposed to be good? Spencerville and Jefferson near the top? Crestview seems like a team on the rise. Who is on their way down? Any teams other that Allen East getting turf? Coaching changes?

Can't argue with you. They have a lot of young talent that will just get better as it matures.

Ada returns almost everyone and should be right in the thick of things.

Pretty solid picks. I would probably move Ada in front of Allen East. I personally think that any of the top 4 could win it. Jefferson, Spencerville, Crestview and Ada. Any of those 4 could win it. Heck even Allen East could sneak in there with having their QB and RB back. I don't know anything about Grove. Bluffton and Paulding will definitely be at the bottom. But as you said it's much too early to know for sure!

Delphos will have a decent team next year, but will losing their offensive co-ordinator hurt them?

I would have to say after DJ since they are returning champs you could lump teams 2-6 in the same category. These teams are about the same talent wise, skill, size, etc. There will be a big separation to the bottom teams though. Paulding is still rebuilding and Bluffton has a new inexperienced head coach. All in all a pretty balanced conference again this year.

Bluffton does not have an inexperienced coach. He had coached in college and at a big time school in Louisville.

Their last head coach had college and HS coaching experience as well and went 3-7 in his first season.

It usually takes a coach a year or two to implement their system and be successful. The exception could be if their is a wealth of talent in place.

Edinger with Spencerville and Delphos. Mixing the two are just against the laws of nature! That said our Bearcats have lost a lot to graduation. Anywhere near top will be a great accomplishment!

So after scrimmages, what are everyone's thoughts? How should the league shape up?

Have not witnessed any scrimmages this year, but still think it is DJ's to lose this year (even though I was told they struggled against Marion Local, but who wouldn't)
Following Dj, I think it will be either Ada or Spencerville with Allen East being a dark horse
