Since St. Johns made it to the semi's last year and pretty much everyone returns, I believe the edge is clearly in St. John's favor here. LCC lost O'connor and I look for teams to really load up in the box this season slowing down the LCC running backs.

LCC lost some key players but they still have key players there and they are athletic. St Johns does have the edge returning many players and playing in Delphos, but it should be very competitive game and fun to watch!!

From tonight's preview on WLIO, DSJ returns only 3 starters on each side of the ball.

Yes, it's on Saturday night.

LCC became very athletic during the past year.............even more so than last. Not saying that DSJ will not win, but speed kills..........RM

I could be wrong but I thought St. Johns returned most of their starters from last season?

Key to this game is physicality. LCC can't handle it.

I don't know the numbers, but they lost a lot of good players from last year. With that being said, they have their QB healthy and he is "the guy" and they have rotated enough players that they should be fine.

The Running back last season was pretty good and was only a sophomore (Jettinghoff?). I hear from many people that this now Junior class is full of talent. We will find out soon enough I guess.

All MAC FB- Graduated
Starting WRs- Graduated
All starting DB's- Graduated
3 starting OL- Graduated
All MAC LB- Graduated

They lost a lot, but I'm guessing it will be your standard Blue Jay reload.

I think this will be a defensive game. First team to 21 wins.

Always one of my favorite games of the entire school year! Most of the boys out there on the field are friends off the field. It's just a good old friendly rivalry

I will give my predictions later.

I've heard that DSJ's line is very young, and this year the depth will be not as big as it was in the past. Which could play a factor in the game.

21-14 again this year, but I will take DSJ's this time.

DSJ's line is inexperienced but not young. Depth will not be what it was in the past but in the past the depth, at times, was incredible. From the scrimmage last night, we two platooned for the most part. Whether that will carry on into regular season games, time will tell.
Last year DSJ returned only 2-3 starters=inexperienced. With a couple breaks here and there, could have gone 10-0. We went 7-3 and advanced to the state semis where we were a whisper away from a return trip to the finals.
